Because Jesus uses His authority as the Lord of the Law to free us from the curses of the Law, followers of Jesus should not treat the Law as a burden to be managed. Instead, we should be eager to obey God’s Law so that we can honor Him and enjoy its blessings.

Fasting is the spiritual practice of denying yourself something in order to enhance your spiritual appetite for God, focus your heart on God, and remind yourself that God is most important, most valuable, and most satisfying.
