In this message Elder Candidate Bobby Petit reminds us of the importance of remembering God’s word, highlighting that:

#1) There are two categories of people.

Our sinful hearts tend to warp our perception of God. We need the power of the Holy Spirit, working through the reading of Scripture, the preaching of Scripture, and prayer, to help us perceive God as He truly is.

Scripture – Malachi 3:6-12

We must regularly, prayerfully, and honestly look at how we use our money and possessions, because the way we use our money and possessions reveals the truth about our relationship with God.

Scripture – Malachi 2:17-3:5

Do you trust the justice of God or do you get frustrated because it seems like God is unjust, or slow to work justice? This message helps to address these struggles.

Scripture – Hebrews 11:6

In parenting, and in all of life, obeying God with faith is the kind of seeking after God that pleases Him!

In the course of this passage God lays out His vision of, and purpose for, marriage, confronts the hypocrisy of Israel, confronts the faithlessness of Israel, and finally gives a stern warning and exhortation to His people.
