When it comes to creating content for your fitness business, it’s very easy to assume that the key to success is to post content consistently across all of your platforms. However, maintaining this level of consistency can be extremely time-consuming and draining on your energy levels, right? It’s hard enough holding down a busy class and client schedule, and adding in the additional workload of creating 5 posts a week for Instagram, writing your client newsletter every week, and uploading a video to YouTube in that same 7 day stretch – it’s enough to make you reach breaking point, isn’t it? In this week’s episode of the Pelvicpreneur Podcast, Claire is introducing you to a new approach to content marketing that’s called “posting with intention”. Claire walks you through what content changes she’s made in her business when it comes to posting on Instagram, creating podcasts and scheduling in newsletter content, and the findings may actually surprise you, so pop your earbuds in, grab a notepad and pen, and enjoy!

Kegels have been around since Dr Arnold Kegel invented them in 1948, and it's fair to say that we've definitely moved mountains of change in the pelvic floor industry in the last decade or so, but Kegels are still being prescribed as the "go-to" exercise in a lot of cases. You may be aware that there are a few issues associated with the Kegel, particularly if clients have been doing them regularly, but not getting any results. And, you may also know that a lot of clients aren't necessarily performing their Kegels with 100% accuracy if verbal cues alone are used. But, were you aware that there are more than 9 reasons why Kegels are a problem?! Well, in this week's episode of the Pelvicpreneur Podcast, resident pelvic floor expert, Claire Mockridge is here to share ALL of the PROBLEMS she's encountered with clients doing Kegels over the years, so strap yourself in, grab a cup of your favourite non-bladder irritating beverage, and enjoy!

When it comes to teaching movement and exercise to clients, there are lots and lots of ways that you can do this as a Fitness Professional. The vegan-friendly way of saying this is “There’s more than one way to peel an orange”! Now, depending on how you entered the fitness industry, and/or who trained you, you may have been encouraged to cue exercises to clients following a step-by-step, cue-by-cue approach. Over the years, perhaps you’ve been influenced by lots of educators out there, and you may have even developed your own strong opinions about HOW movement teachers should be cueing exercise. In this week’s episode of the Pelvicpreneur Podcast, allow Claire to take you on a trip down memory lane where she shares: a taster of her own teaching style with you; WHY everyone who teaches movement teaches it differently, and why it’s necessary for you to develop your own teaching style (which sets you apart from your competitors). Pop your earbuds in, take a listen to this insightful episode, and enjoy!

Ever wondered if conditions like prolapse, stress and urge incontinence, pelvic girdle pain, birth trauma and/or abdominal separation could be prevented? It's an interesting question (and a long list of conditions!) to ponder, isn't it? It's true that a lot of the work we do as FitPros is in a rehabilitation setting: we assess, we treat and we get people out of pain, but what if some of the conditions that are so prevalent in the postnatal population nowadays, could actually be addressed when working with our pregnant clients? Would you like to be a part of a new wave of pre-hab versus re-hab expert? If so, tune into this insightful episode of the Pelvicpreneur Podcast, where Claire shares her thoughts on the topic of prevention versus cure. Pop your earbuds in, take a walk and enjoy!

When it comes to working with diastasis recti clients, the whole "Should they do sit ups, or should they avoid them altogether?" debate gets swirled around in postnatal exercise circles quite often, doesn't it? It's truly annoying for us as FitPros that the 2 most common exercises that the majority of the human population on the planet know about are: 1) the plank and 2) sit ups, and as postnatal exercise specialists, we have our work cut out for us about educating our clients on safe movements to perform whilst they're in a rehab setting. If you want to know if sit ups should be avoided entirely for postpartum clients, then tune into this week's episode of the Pelvicpreneur Podcast to find out. In this segment, Claire helps arm you with all the information you need to be able to answer the questions "Can I do sit ups?" or "So and so told me to avoid sit ups, is that right?" the next time a postpartum person asks you these. Are you ready to have your eyes and ears opened? If so, pop your earbuds in now and enjoy!
