The Penn State Nittany Lions football team faces off against Northwestern on Saturday to try and stop the bleeding on a rare 0-2 skid for the program. Both teams are 3-2 and want to avoid a .500 record to start October. How are the team's recruits taking the losses? We'll discuss Ryan Snyder's conversations with recruits about the team's start to the season, and we'll preview the upcoming visitor list for the team's final home game of October. Penn State practice update 

The Penn State football team opened the doors of the Lasch Football facility on Wednesday evening to the media for our roughly 15-minute viewing period of practice. Publisher Sean Fitz was at the event and will give his thoughts on what he saw and heard throughout the evening. We'll also recap Penn State head coach James Franklin's comments after the event. 

Recruiting update

Penn State fans are furious about the team's troubles, especially given the high expectations from the beginning of the year. But how do the commits feel about the losses? Snyder spoke to the team's 2026 class to get feedback on how they are taking the situation. 

Next, we'll discuss the prospects that the team wants to add to the mix for 2027. Who is coming to the game this weekend? It's Penn State's last home game of October, so we'll preview what that means for the team on today's show. 

Homecoming preview 

Finally, we'll preview the upcoming game between Northwestern and Penn State. The sky is falling for Penn State fans, so there's a clear and obvious loss on the calendar for the team this weekend. Is that reasonable? We'll give you our scouting report of the Wildcats and give our game score predictions for the game.
