The Penn State football team enters its toughest two-game stretch of the season this weekend when it faces top-ranked Ohio State on Saturday at noon. Today, the team opens up practice to the media for its weekly view of what's going on inside the Lasch Football Complex. Today on the BWI Live Show, we'll preview tonight's event, discuss the next wave of players who could see the field for the Nittany Lions, and we'll preview what Ohio State's new offensive and defensive personalities look like on the field.

Penn State practice preview

After months of the same drills and rhythm at open practice, the situation has changed dramatically in the last several weeks. The team is down several starters, and there have been surprise players missing from games in recent weeks. During the team's bye, the offense practiced indoors, away from the media, in a closed install period. What will things look like tonight? We'll discuss the aspects of the offense and defense we're looking for this evening. 

Best Bets and Freshmen report

Next, Greg Pickel will give you his best best for this week. Each Wednesdy he picks a game of the week, a game or line that interests him, and of course, the Penn State game. Find out what he's picking this week!

Next, we'll discuss the young players who have a chance to crack the lineup during the final month of the season. Penn State has several severe issues on offense and defense that don't have an easy solution, specifically at linebacker and wide receiver. Who can step into the void? Which other positions have an opportunity for a young player to make a name before the season's end? We'll discuss

Finally, we'll preview the game between Ohio State and Penn State. We'll tell you what the Buckeyes' new identity is on offense under first-year coordiantor Brian Hartline and former NFL defenisve coordinator Matt Patricia. What makes the vaunted Ohio State defense tick, and how can Penn State attack it? We'll discuss.
