 Not everything was rotten about the White Out game after the Penn State Nittany Lions football team lost to Oregon 30-24 on Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd. The atmosphere provided by the fans was electric to a new level and provided an incredible backdrop for the team's recruiting efforts, which we've chronicled on the BWI Live Recruiting Show for over a month. Today, we'll get the initial reaction from those recruits and discuss how the game went from this perspective. Join us as we detail the new wind in the sails for the Penn State football program's 2027 recruiting, plus give you a game preview and score predictions for UCLA this weekend.

Reacting to Penn State's loss of Tony Rojas to injury 

Of course, the first thing we'll discuss today is that Penn State starting linebacker Tony Rojas suffered a long-term injury this week and will be out for the foreseeable future. We'll discuss the impact on the defense, the team, and what happens next for the program. 

White Out recruiting recap

We discussed the White Out list for over a month on the Recruiting Show, heading into the biggest game of the team's home schedule. Now that the dust is settling from the event, what was the impact? Reporter Sean Fitz details what he's learned about the team's recruiting influence from the event and what he thinks will come from the game. We'll also outline a flurry of recruiting predictions from Steve Wiltfong in favor of the Nittany Lions after the game. 

UCLA Preview

Finally, we'll end the show discussing the upcoming game against the floundering UCLA Bruins. The team fired yet another coordinator on Tuesday of this week, giving Penn State an unprecedented challenge of preparing for a team with almost no on-field history before the game. What does the Penn State offense need to do to get on track? What do we expect from the team on that side of the ball? We'll break down the adjustments and expectations for the Lions out in LA this weekend. 

Finally, we'll detail what UCLA can do on offense and how the team can manage to execute a strong defensive game plan without Rojas on the field.
