On Sunday we continued in our Pentecost series with a teaching from Pete on Acts 1v1-9. 

In this key passage we find Jesus expressing a promise to His disciples, that they will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Jesus explains that this baptism will bring power, which will enable them to fulfill their purpose as His witnesses in all the world.

We too, like the disciples, are invited to continually wait and pray for the filling of His Holy Spirit. When we are filled He will strengthen us to share the gospel, to cast out the demonic, to love our neighbor, to grow in holiness, and so much more.

Thank you God for being so generous in the outpouring of your Spirit, may we remain ever aware of our need for it.
