Comedian and actor Neel Ghosh is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He recalls his days excelling in elementary school, and his nights listening to inappropriate comedy CDs, being soothed by the crowds’ laughter on the recordings. And dad is just a good dude, who actually one time literally saved Neel’s life!

Elise Golgowski is originally from Orlando, Florida and describes herself as a kid who was into anime and was a video game nerd. She recalls getting into typical sibling fights with her brother and sister of course, but she also tells me all about her parents: Her mom Helen, from where Elise learned all about dirty jokes, and her dad Greg, where she got the dry sarcasm. From Florida to USC to the growth of Elise’s career, her family has been there supporting her all the way.

Comedian and fellow Syracuse University grad, Sean McBride moved around the country quite a bit when he was real young, but eventually settled with his family in Western Massachusetts. Thinking he would become a sports broadcaster, Sean found those jobs and assignments didn’t seem to offer him the creative freedom he was seeking, and eventually found his true calling. Comedy. And Sean tells me stories of the road, talks the craft, and shares his love for other comics... including one Vic Dunlop, an actor and comedian who Sean spent several years opening for. Actor and sometimes comedian, Matt Larson was born and raised in Vallejo, California. Though a sensitive kid, he for the most part managed to avoid being bullied because he was tall. It also helped that he started playing guitar in middle school and discovered a group of other weirdos to hang out with. It was around this time when he also discovered the comedy of one of his favorites, and of my favorites, and one of the most prolific performers of our era, Adam Sandler.

Comedian and actor, Chiara Montali was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and this tomboy never quite felt like she fit in in Catholic school. But when she discovered theater in her high school years, it was a turning point. Growing up with athlete brothers, she herself always had thoughts of the pursuing the arts and entertainment and moving to Los Angeles. And now Chiara is in LA and doing just that. And her younger Francesco in particular, currently a goalkeeper for FIU (I mistakenly say NY Red Bulls in the ep), has always been an inspiration to Chiara, as she’s watched him grow up and pursue his dreams.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, comedian and actor, Tema Sall was able to overcome her ADD as a kid and became a good student and well rounded person, enjoying theater, the arts, sports, and more. Tema has pretty much always been into comedy too, and upon discovering SNL and the great Chris Farley in particular, her life and career path became that much more driven towards entertainment and the arts. Comedian, actor, musician, and jack of many trades, Victor Treviño is originally from Canyon Country out in the desert outside LA, and this always artsy, sometimes troublemaker kid recalls loving Saturday Night Live, nature, and being the class clown. Eventually as a teen Victor found a second family, the Belardinellis. And it wasn’t too long before he discovered one of his new brothers would become his comedy brother: That’s the one and only Demetri Belardinelli.

Comedian Kyle Rehl is originally from Woodstock, GA but never felt like he fit totally in because his parents were both from the Northeast and kinda trying to fit in themselves in a way in the South. That all changed in 5th grade at a new school when Kyle reconnected with a preschool friend, Patrick McPherson. Kyle saw Patrick and his friends being funny and discovered his own love for comedy hasn’t looked back. And that wasn’t the only time Patrick inspired Kyle with comedy. Patrick got into stand up comedy first, too, and Kyle just had to follow suit. Kyle chats with me about comedy, LA, and all about his buddy, Patrick.

Comedian and producer, Ryan O’Toole is originally from Tampa, FL, and describes himself as a nerdy kid but never recalls getting bullied. Maybe it’s because for much of his childhood he took Karate. As did his father Terry O’Toole at the same time, which was fun for the both of them. And grandpa Alfred “Al” O'Toole and grandma, Joan O’Toole have also always loved and supported Ryan. Loving comedy since he can remember, Ryan’s path has led him from Florida to LA, and he’s always been proud to call himself an O’Toole.
