My guest today is author, filmmaker, producer, actor, and speaker, Gregor Collins (I'm sure he’s done even more than that as well!). Gregor tells me all about the creative journey he's been on, really for his entire life. And we do talk about the time he worked on a Girls Gone Wild tour. YES, that Girls Gone Wild. But we also chat about his very, very special relationship with Holocaust survivor, Maria Altmann. Gregor wrote an amazing book about her, called The Accidental Caregiver: How I Met, Loved and Lost Legendary Holocaust Refugee Maria Altmann.  These days, Gregor is working on a newer project, called HUMANS IN MY PHONE, an ongoing microdocumentary series about creativity, featuring the eclectic blend of creative friends Gregor has over the years. And that's how he likes to see himself, as someone who can't be labeled. This young man's name is Sean Will. Originally from Newark, NJ, now doing his thing out here in Los Angeles, Sean has been a DJ and has been making music since he was single digits years old. Now some moms are known as "soccer moms"... But Sean's mother, Monique… I’d call her um, a "DJ Mom." Throughout his pre-teen and teen years, Sean was something of prodigy in the NY/NY/Philly area, and right there driving him, his crew, and his gear to professional to gig after gig, was his mom. But more than just schlepping him all over the Northeast, she instilled a laid back, level-headed style in Sean that is very evident. Enjoy.

Without self help therapy, and without his family, it's doubtful Cesar would be the man he is today -- a man who actually goes back to the prisons to visit others to help them turn their lives around. Igor Packer, better known as "Justin Credible" is a poet originally from Ukraine, and is also someone who speaks FOUR LANGUAGES. Confined to a wheelchair his whole life (aka his BMW / Ballistic Manual Weapon), he luckily found Los Angeles to be significantly more BMW-accessible. But way back when, when Justin Credible was new to the United States and his English was a little shakier, his friend, an Iranian immigrant, Mandana Shirandami (who's since sadly passed), gave Mr. Credible an ultimatum. Paraphrasing what she told him: "Improve your English and start writing in it, or I ain't gonna be your friend no more..." Point is, she inspired the guy to up his game, and these days Justin Credible has written thousands of poems in various languages, including in English, which he performs live and puts out regularly on his YouTube channel, "Justin Credible Poetry." And he performs a poem for us today as well!
