“Having two favourite places at the opposite ends of the earth is really hard”
In 2013, Heather moved to Scotland from Canada for what she thought was going to be a brief stay as she completed an international practicum. Instead, she found herself reflecting about where home is, whether it can be more than one place, and making a decision that made sense to her head and her heart. In this conversation we talked about the Danish idea of Hygge, getting the most out of winter, how childhood connections can be pointing you in the right direction, how other people can “see” a future for you when you can’t see it yourself, and how to listen to your own voice when you have an important choice make.
