When I wrote chapter 9, "God Doesn't Throw Away Broken Things," I wanted to encourage every person who needed hope.

I discovered, giving up looks different for each of us. Sometimes, there's a project that needs to be completed, a book that needs to be created or a business or ministry that should have been started a long time ago.

Or, sometimes after experiencing hardship our thoughts try make us feel insignificant. But I have learned there's something greater that happens in the midst of suffering. There is an opportunity to be strengthened and made more resilient.

Somehow there is a newfound strength that comes despite the challenges we face. If you've ever experience heartache or deep sadness I want you to know, "God Doesn't Throw Away Broken Things."

One thing I've discovered is that God doesn't do things in my timing. There are days I prayed and hoped for an answer, but He didn't answer my prayer when I expected.

Sometimes, He answered a completely different way.

To those who have been waiting. This one is for you. God is Sovereign, and He has a purpose for everything.

What we do as we wait is super important. Don't give up hope. Wait patiently and believe by faith. Let's get to it.

One of the questions I ask clients is, "What do you do when life gets tough?"

Do you isolate? Or, maybe eat your favorite candy bar and do something else? I want to share this talk with you to let you know healing is a journey and sometimes you have to choose to say, "I need to do this for me."

In my life, healing has taken more than time, it's taken God. There is no way I could have made it this far without Him. I want you to listen to this episode and know you are not alone. But even more than this, I want you to know your identity doesn't come from people or things.

We gain things and we lose things. People come into our lives and sometimes they leave without a cause or notice. This is why our need for existence must be greater than existential things.

One day I discovered my true identity doesn't even come from me, it comes from the mercy God has extended to me.

The good news is that she does heal. She does write the book.

She does recover.

She makes it because she trusts in God and when God is Your Defender you can't lose.

This is going to be good. I learned a valuable and hard lesson. I honestly believed I was doing God a favor by playing small. I don't know if I've ever been so wrong in my life. God didn't need my help. I've heard people talk about false humility before, but surely I wasn't doing that...so I thought. 

In this episode I am going to share with you with you how I needed to show up differently. Don't be afraid to take the leap and use your gifts to the glory of God in a bold and unapologetic way.
