What are you doing poorly in the realm of employment (could you do better?) and how about porn--or maybe I'm alone there?

Being able to think, critically, is extremely important.

If you trust science is accurate when you look at your phone, or drive in your car, or take a flight, why does it break down at all? At which point do you stop believing experts and trust your emotions? When you feel like it?

And how about the way you treat other humans, and all things for that matter?

Being precise in your speech will only help you (and those you speak to).  Remove ambiguity from your conversation and the muddy-mumble of your life will begin to fade.

Why can't I be the me that I am most of the time?  Why are these podcasts so unlike how I am in-person?  If you were to talk to me over a drink I wouldn't sound how I do on these chats.  I wouldn't be exceptionally different, but I would be different enough.  Why?  I don't know, but it bugs me.

When should we ask questions?  Anytime we realize we're ignorant.  How often might that be?  Quite often indeed, if we're being honest.

Ideas are children before they can be parents. They give 'birth' to us, and we to them. In this podcast I talk a bit slower than in #12 and I ask a few questions to which I do not have answers to. Towards the end I get the sense that I have opened a few doors and as I write this I'm not sure which one to go through. I have been left with the feeling that there's something profound underneath what I spoke of today, but I'm not sure what.

Often times we find ourselves in situations in which we don't know why a thing is happening, and so our minds make up stories. We do this for many reasons, but the dangerous part is that the stories we believe are so often the wrong ones.

We play games (not board, not video, but social) all the time. Every time we greet someone, buy a gift, or do almost anything at all we're playing a game. Call it what you want if you dislike the word 'game', but the point remains; we follow cultural patterns for various reasons.

Should we? Should we always play games? Or should we avoid them? Is there a clear answer?

I'm not the best version of myself. Not by a long shot. I fail myself (and those around me) on a daily basis. Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, but the fact remains that I can do better. But how? Why do we get stuck in patterns and ways of being? It seems to me that we'll always be bad at things unless we make an effort to change that. Making an effort isn't easy--by definition, but it's worth the attempt.
