Jesus said "have the faith of God".

But we heard "have faith in God".

What's the difference? There is a BIG difference!

Jesus said that in the context of cursing the Fig Tree. He showed that what man believed was from the fig tree (which is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). He then showed them what the other 'tree' is: What God believes! Jesus didn't try to force them believe. He showed them what they believed was not what God believes. The faith of God is what awakens our persuasion. What He believes becomes what we believe. Jesus cursed the fig tree to curse what we used to believe. He came to uproot the tree of death. He came to restore man's authority back to him, so that: whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says...

Nothing defines who we are clearer than John 1:1-14: in the beginning was the WORD, the WORD became flesh, and dwelt among us.

Th Word that was in the beginning became the Word that was incarnated in human flesh and blood. Have you ever wondered why?

Yes we know what we had believed in the past...that He could be crucified and take our punishment upon Himself. But is it?

Here is a clue for you before getting into this week's teaching:

The incarnated Word of God is called the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father. But what the translators have failed to convey is the fact that it should not have been translated the 'only begotten of the Father', but the 'begotten only of the Father'.

There is a huge difference between the two and I am going to address it in this podcast.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us to be the mirror, the ONLY reflection of who we are, to show us our BEGINNING, our source. This is where we can see ourselves clear.

The Word became flesh and literally tabernacled among us, having the fullness of Godhead in Him. Man was created to be the House of God. So when He came, He showed that, and became the Tabernacle made without hands. But the unprecedented truth revealed in these verses is that we, our body, our skin is also the Tabernacle of God, made with His hands and not human hands.

The Greek word for 'only begotten' is Monogenes. It is mono-genes. A single gene, not two, not three, but ONE. He was the SEED that was going to crush the other seed received by Eve in the Garden.

The parable of the persistent widow explains a great mystery of faith that persists until it gets the answer. But Who is this widow? Who is the dead husband and who are the enemies? How can we be like this widow, breaking free from the enemies of our dead husband?

Hey everyone, 

We are going to peel off another layer from the parable of the persistent widow to understand how we can have a persistent Faith like this widow. 

When Jesus in Luke 18:1-18 talks about the parable of the persistent widow, He specifically points at someone who is a 'widow' and not a 'woman'. That shows the enemies of this persistent widow must be related to her dead husband and she is still trying to avenge and break free from them, even though her husband is dead.

But then Jesus explains that we, like this widow, must do the same: Persisting in Faith until God avenges our enemies. In this video, you'll understand that believers of Christ are that 'Widow' and how we all must 'Persist' in faith with our never-ending belief so that we break free from enemies. 

But who was our old husband that died? And Who are our current enemies that we must ask for vengeance in a faith that persists?

We've heard "Faith is the substance of things hoped for the EVIDENCE of THINGS not seen". But what does it mean? And why faith is the evidence of things not seen? What are 'the things not seen'?

To find the answer, we must remember this quote is from Hebrews 11:1. That means prior to this verse there has been a foundation laid that describes faith and what it means and what it did. The context of Hebrews is son-ship. In Jesus Christ true sonship was manifested, demonstrated and proven. What He received at the resurrection was the promise that God had given to Abraham and his Seed (the heir of the promise). When God raised Jesus from the dead He performed His promise that was previously confirmed by his oath.

Now Jesus has become the 'proof' of what God had declared. Jesus is the evidence of what God had foreordained. Jesus is the evidence of things not seen. But why is this important to know and how does it relate to you and me? Hebrews 6 says everything God did was for the heirs. He wanted the heirs to become confident and bold. To know His counsel is unchangeable. His word will never change. And thus He added an oath to the promise. When He raised Jesus from the dead and proved to the heirs that what He sees about them is what was seen in the resurrected Jesus. But there is more!----more----

On one hand, we read: "Behold, Now is the Acceptable Time, Today is the Day of Salvation", on the other hand, Peter says we are receiving the end of faith, which is the salvation (of soul). 

How can we reconcile the two?

Understanding the concept of the Acceptable Time (the Day of Salvation) reveals the relation between Time and Faith.

Paul, in 2 Corinthians 6:2 uses the words 'now', and 'today'.

He is indicating what was 'prophesied' about a certain time has arrived. Today we live in the fulfillment of the prophecies. The Acceptable Time (also knows as the Acceptable Year of the Lord) was the 'time' appointed by the Father (Galatians 4) when slavery would be replaced by sonship.

For us, as Christians, it is important to know how we can live this out, and benefit from the Acceptable Time. Here is where 'faith' comes in...because Faith is the substance of things that were previously hoped for. What was only a hope, now/today is a substance, a fulfillment, a reality, in the Lord Jesus Christ. Just as Romans 10:4 says: Christ is the End of the Law for Righteousness for everyone who believes.

What is Sabbath Day in the Bible? Is Sabbath Keeping a Christian law?

Let's make this simple, very simple: God finished HIS WORK in 6 days. On the 7th Day (Sabbath) He entered His Rest. But before entering His Rest the Bible says:

Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God did not enter His rest before making everything very good. That means when He entered His Rest it was all good, no need for another extra hour, no need for another work, and no need for waiting for a time. His Work was finished.

Hebrews 4 says, although the Work was Finished from the foundation of the world, man did not enter His rest, but continued in his own work, trying to establish his own rest.

Even to this day there are debates among Christians about what day of the week is the real sabbath, is it Saturday, or Sunday...many have questions like "should Christians keep the sabbath?". Well, without relating the Work of Creation and the Rest that followed to the Work of Redemption and the Rest that follows, these debates will continue.

But the truth about Sabbath Day is this:

The Work Jesus did, known as the Finished Work of the Cross is that which now has left us a Rest to enter. But what is this rest and how we can enter it. Watch the video to the end and you won't leave without the answer!

In James 2:14-26 we read that Faith without Works is Dead, or faith, if it has no works, is dead. Is James contradicting Paul?

The Book of James, in contrast to the common belief, has nothing to do with 'rules' in Christianity. It is a spiritual book, with a spiritual language, using multiple metaphors to says the same thing Paul says in his epistles.

The subject of faith vs works has been a point of debate. At some point, it was not a question, but it was taught as if salvation is dependent on works. But we're far from those days and the Spirit of Revelation has brought the truth to light. This video is a bible study on James 2:14-26 and explains this subject.

What does 'from Faith to Faith' mean? And how is the Righteousness of God revealed? These are the questions that can drastically change the meaning of righteousness and faith, or better to say Righteousness by Faith.

The Greek words for 'from' and 'to' are 'ek' and 'eis', referring to 'source' and 'destiny'. It is the Faith of God that becomes the basis for our faith, and this reveals the Righteousness of God.

The word Righteousness means the beam of a scale. This is where definitions change! God's righteousness is identified with a scale of balances which weighs or measures the weights on both sides. How can we know the weight of something unless God 'reveals' it?

Now here is the question:

What is our 'weight'?!

Well, the word weight in the Hebrew language is the word 'kabod', meaning Glory! So, Righteousness is where our Glory is revealed, as being equal with God's Glory! After all Man is the Glory of God!

What is faith according to the Bible and how does it work?

There are many Bible teachings on faith but they don't show the original meaning of faith in the Bible. This Bible study about faith unveils God's purpose from the beginning of all things.

To understand faith according to the Bible, we need to search the New Testament scriptures. The Bible uses the word 'faith' 244 times in the New Testament. Let me make this clear: This video is not about 'faith in God' or 'having faith in God' in the traditional context of escaping eternal torment. This Bible study is to help you understand faith in the context of who you are, as seen and known by God.

In short, here is what activates faith:

Faith is seeing what God has always been seeing. Faith is seeing what God saw before we were made sons of men. But how can I see something that is unseen. Is it possible to see the invisible? Yes. Faith comes by hearing. So seeing the unseen comes by hearing the unseen. But what do we hear? Paul says Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. But here is the key that Jesus gives us in John 5:

- Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does."

Thus, for the Son to see, the Father must show. Later Jesus says this because the Father loves the Son. that's why Paul says "faith works by love". What we see now, was unseen before. So, it is easier now to understand Hebrews 11:1. It reads "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". Jesus spoke of the Days of Vengeance, but not without considering what the Old Testament scriptures had written about. Often what He said is attributed to a vindictive wrathful action from God's part on the world. However, just as is the case with God's Judgment, the Vengeance of God is not against mankind, but toward what has oppressed him.
