In this episode, we bring you some of the key takeaways from the Australiasian Menopause Society Menopause Congress Summit.
We recorded this episode after Day 2 of the summit while it was fresh in our mind to bring you some of the incredible learning, awareness and conversations that was shared over the two days.
We both walked away from the summit with a deep sense of gratitude and awe for the work that is being researched and developed to support women through Peri Menopause and beyond.
Although there is still much work to do, the change is happening and the support is developing and coming to really support women through this phase and beyond. As much as we talk about Peri Menopause, it is just one phase in a woman's life and ultimately the goal is to live a vibrant, healthy and full life, what we do leading into and during this phase of life is important for that.
We were extremely grateful and fortunate to present our own work to the audience and share with them all about how healthy lifestyle factors plays a key role in ensuring women have a high quality of life, every single day of their long lives.
As mentioned in the introduction to this episode, we are hosting our Cycle Syncing for Work and Life Thursday 15th September 12:00pm Australian time. This will be a fabulous masterclass talking through our wonderful monthly cycles and how we can sync the distinct phases so that we are energised, confident and balanced every day. This is open to everyone across the globe and you can book your spot via this link

In this weeks episode we have an insightful chat with Marketing and Communications Manager of Liptember Foundation, Katrina Locandro. Katrina is a strategic mind and marketing force behind the Liptember Foundation. She has a literal sense of humour and an enormous passion for women’s mental health.
The Liptember Foundation supports every woman to achieve their optimal mental health. In 2022 Liptember launched the first ever, gender specific, National Research Study into women’s mental health. It identified critical areas of need; allowing us to fill the gaps in mental health programs, initiatives, support services and research.
In this chat with Katrina we specifically talk about the fact that 1 in 2 women are experiencing poor mental health, we discuss some of the key contributors of this along with and more specifically the data that they obtained about Menopausal women.
This research is profound and extremely beneficial in supporting women with their whole health from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. We are thrilled to share this groundbreaking research with you through our conversation with Katrina. Be sure to visit the Liptember website to download your copy of the report and learn more about the foundation.
September is also the Liptember Foundations biggest awareness campaign where they encourage women to wear bright, colourful lipstick that made a statement and would help spark a conversation about women's mental health.

In this episode we welcome back Dr Fatima Khan to our podcast.
Dr Fatima Khan is a highly skilled Peri-Menopause and Menopause Specialist with a holistic approach to women’s physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. She last appeared on our podcast on 23 May and it’s fair to say that we only just touched the tip of the iceberg when it came to MHT/HRT in that conversation.
We decided straight after recording that episode that we would have Fatima on again to talk specifically about MHT, what it is, the history of it and when women should consider taking it. This really is a fantastic conversation and one that you should share with any woman who needs it.
The power of this information can be instrumentally in supporting women as they lead into and transition through Peri Menopause and beyond.

In this episode, Lisa and Nat passionately talk about why they are advocates for shifting mindsets about Menopause in the Workplace.
With the UK citing "Menopausal women the fastest growing workforce demographic" this important and pivotal phase of life can no longer be ignored or silenced.
Our work involves supporting and guiding individuals to live their best life through nurturing their whole health around physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. But we have come to see that the ‘specific’ needs of both genders isn't
being considered or addressed in the workplace, phases such as Menopause has a considerable impact on the working career of women and its time we started the conversation.
In this episode Lisa and Nat talk about some of the research, the impact of Peri Menopause on women in the workplace, why this isn't just a "women's issue" and how you can get started to talk about Menopause in your own workplace.
We hope you enjoy this episode and we'd love to hear from you about your experience at work whether you have or do not have this education in the workplace.
And of course we love reviews and subscriptions and would be eternally grateful if you would give us a review or subscribe.
