   Number 1: Tunnel Vision - Breaking down USC's 39-0 victory over Fresno State

   On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's, Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and Ahmad Akkaoui are back in studio breaking down what they saw Friday night in the Coliseum, with USC taking down Fresno State 39-0 in dominating fashion. Head coach Lincoln Riley had his troops ready, with the team looking much better Friday night in the Coliseum than we saw just six days earlier in the opener against San Jose State. The guys take a look at how the team performed in all three phases of the game, from Jayden Maiava's extremely efficient effort to new defensive coordinator Gary Patterson pitching his first shutout as a Trojan. While the Trojans did dominate the game from start to finish, there were still areas where the Men of Troy could improve. The running game got off to a slow start and that will need to get going for this team to reach its lofty goals. Defensively there are still more opportunities for plays to be made in passing coverage and there were actually a couple of penalties on special teams that Mike Ekeler is likely unhappy with.    In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and Makena Arteaga are back in studio talking about USC getting its first shutout of the season, blanking Matt Entz's Fresno State squad 39-0 Friday night in the Coliseum. They also discuss what has been going on within the program this week as they get ready for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, with the possibility of defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart getting on the field for the first time this season. The Trojans win over the Bulldogs was much cleaner than the opening effort against the Spartans, and the crew talks about what they liked and where they would like to see some improvement. Jayden Maiava was spectacular with only two incompletions, two freshmen wide receivers went over 100 yards receiving and of course Gary Patterson got his first shutout as USC's defensive coordinator.
