This  traditional Christian hymn reminds us of the teaching of Jesus where he says, "Whoever wants to become my follower, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Mark puts together a series of events that helps us in the revelation about the character of Jesus and he wants us to hear his natural voice. When we hear the strange word “ephphatha”. This was the word Jesus sighed as he looked up to heaven, it is the central word we need to hear and listen to.
