There is a great pre- Raphaelite painting by Holman Hunt called The Light of The World, showing the Lord Jesus knocking at a door, holding a lantern, hoping for someone, no restrictions , no conditions to open the door just a little and all the light would  enter into their life. Jesus embraced all and spoke about his Kingdom of Love that allowed all the different birds of the air to shelter in its branches.

Most of what I would like to say next comes from a wonderful Dominican teacher Fr Donald Goergen whom I discovered during a Lockdown video course on contemplation. He was leading a session entitled “ Why Go To Mass”? He  gave Four reasons which I would like to repeat now.
