In episode 5 of perSPECtive, Chloe talks with Eli Kia, the Chief Growth Officer for Handle Delivery. Handle is an instant convenience store for college students that delivers snacks, beverages, ice cream, and more in 15 minutes or less by utilizing a student workforce and electric vehicles. Eli explains the unique business model Handle has that separates it from competitors and the exciting announcement of Handle's expansion to the University of Oregon. Besides that, we also get to know one person behind the brand a little more and hear about Eli’s interests in surfing and LA restaurants.

In episode 4, Chloe chats with Shawn Tran and Xavier Bradley, both of which are a part of Cup of Troy. What started out of a craving for a community in the pandemic, this company started with students making coffee for their friends. Word quickly got around and soon they were filling their front lawn. Combining their love for music and coffee, Cup of Troy added a musical component to provide entertainment for their attendees. They have been extremely successful and evolved into a full production company highlighting local musicians and hosting events with 100+ people. From Oatley sponsorships to their favorite cafes in LA, we just about cover it all in this episode of perSPECtive.

In this week’s episode of perSPECtive’s, Chloe sits down with Jordan Bamberg, Julia Tribolet, and Chloe Tan — 3/5 co-founders of Row Rave. This female-founded music company started out of admiration for the USC DJ community and has held successful music events with 1200+ attendees and over 10 DJs performing. Although neither Jordan, Julia, nor Chloe were experts in the music business when they came up with the idea, they discuss how they navigated — and conquered — such a large industry as college students all while upholding their mission of putting USC DJs in the spotlight.

In episode 2, we hear from Skylar Maio or Rae Threads. Her handmade carry-all bag business is a pandemic born business that celebrates the creativity of multiple generations as she also sells tops crocheted by her grandmother. As a small business owner, Skylar explains her perSPECtive of being an entrepreneur and the hills and valleys (but mostly hills) that come along with it.

In perSPECtive’s first full-length episode, Chloe sits down with USC Vintage, or as others know him, Jack Engstrom. Starting out by hustling sneakers, Jack explains how his business has evolved into a collection of USC vintage clothing. From the logistics of owning a business to the beauty of vintage clothing, we explore Jack’s perSPECtive on USC Vintage and his other interests including a unique, adrenaline-filled hobby.
