Feeling a tad under the weather last Wednesday, we opted to hold off a few days and do an impromptu Friday night show, and that seems to have been a fortuitous decision as we had a big turnout and a lot of fun, too! Yes, we had all our usual fun features, a new Top 5 at 10 and whatnot, plus some great requests and a hoppin' chat room that made the night even more fun! Of course, we have some spectacular music birthdays to commemorate, plus a few crazy cat encounters and even some time for snacks and beverages! It was the perfect way to start off the first weekend of August and we hope you'll agree, too. Enjoy!

It's another humdinger of a show this week here at The Pete Sayek program, with four-plus hours of maximum music and merriment! This week we celebrate America's 249th Birthday with our Independence Day Spectacular! We've got sounds of freedom all program long, with plenty of patriotic favorites and stories of celebrations in the past, plus we highlight songs that were Number One on the charts on July 4th in years gone by throughout the show as well! Of course, we also have a brand new Top 5 at 10, and all the other fun stuff you know and love. There's even music for your OWN fireworks display so we've got you covered in every way! This week we have our annual Summer Kickoff Show, where we usher in the season with sounds of the surf and the sun (and everything in between)! Get out your party hats for this week's offering, as we're not just celebrating MY birthday (on 6/22) but we're celebrating Paul McCartney's 83rd birthday as well! The Beatles return to the studio in our Anniversary Spotlight, plus we (belatedly) celebrate Flag Day and of course, we remember the legendary Lou Christie.
