It's our annual Tax Relief show this week, as we present four hours of comforting selections to soothe the nerves and Tax Day jitters. This week on the Big Show we celebrate the anniversary of a momentous occasion on the Billboard Charts from 61 years ago with a very special Top 5 at 10 (see accompanying illustration for a big hint!), as well as our other usual bits of fun, including some big musical birthdays AND a new single release from 60 years ago in our (regular) Beatles Anniversary Spotlight! We had to cut this week's show a bit short just because we were exhausted from a busy week, but that just means we had to squeeze in even more music! We had another big show this week, despite the fact that I'd been awake since 4:30 in the morning. The listeners and the World's Greatest Chat Room (TM) kept me awake, alert and aware for the entire program, which is a good thing as we welcomed in Spring and tucked Winter away with a blossoming bounty of bright music! We had a magnificent Top 5 at 10, a bunch of YOUR great requests AND we celebrated Nat King Cole's 106th birthday (3/17), and many others, throughout the evening. Yes, it was a budding bunch of great sounds and fun with a big, crazy crowd listening and a whole lot more. Spring has sprung, and we are flowering forth as well. Since we had no show on Wednesday last week, we decided a special Saturday Night edition of The Pete Sayek program was in order! This week, we celebrate the birthday (Feb. 25) of George Harrison, with a copious selection of solo and Beatle George throughout the show.
