Felice Anno Nuovo! It's our annual New Year's Special here at The Pete Sayek Program, this year presented on New Year's Eve (for the first time in forever) as we count down and party our way into 2026! It's a swingin' affair, with plenty of fun and foolishness, loads of laughs and quite *a few* cocktails along the way! As we like to do on special holiday shows, we'll be featuring songs that were Number One on New Year's Eve in years gone by - plus a new Top 5 at 10 and a Beatles BBC appearance thrown in to close out the year in proper fashion. We also look back at the year that was, and look ahead to what the New Year may bring. It truly is a crazy, crazy party, so grab a beverage and some snacks and let's toast in the year again together. Joyous Season's Greetings! This week we present our annual Christmas Extravaganza, featuring a festive helping of yuletide favorites, PLUS it's a show SO big, we needed FIVE HOURS to squeeze it all in! In addition to all the holiday sounds you love (and some you may not have heard!), we have Hank and Tina Hayes in the studio to join me in waiting for Santa, waxing nostalgic about our favorite childhood Christmas memories, best presents, all the Christmas food, favorite holiday specials AND Jim Nazium calls in to join the festivities!  There's even an impromptu reading of "A Christmas Carol" FROM MEMORY (it goes about the way one might expect!). It's a grand evening of celebration, all programmed for your tree-side enjoyment! So grab yourself a plate of Christmas leftovers, grab another glass of the good stuff and join in the fun with us. It's a special swingin' edition of The Pete Sayek Program this week as we celebrate the 100th birthday of the one and only Chairman of Board, Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra! There's a heaping helping of perfectly Frank sounds throughout the show, plus a generous sprinkling of holiday fare as we get closer to Christmas Day. There's also our usual fun featurettes, a brand new Top Five at 10, some fine requests AND a festive entry in this week's Beatles Anniversary Spotlight! But most of all, it's a ring-a-ding affair that we hope you'll like nice 'n easy - just the way you look tonight. Or tomorrow. Whenever. Just enjoy!

It's another four hours of musical merriment - even though we didn't feel all that merry on Wednesday. We soldiered on nonetheless and thankfully, it turned out to be a pretty decent offering! We've got a little bit of everything this week, including marking the 93rd birthday of rock and roll pioneer Little Richard, your great requests, a new Top 5 at 10 and some American releases and 70s solo fare in the Beatles Anniversary Spotlight. There's even some holiday fun and about 3 or 4 cups of hot tea mixed in. It's a lively December offering to warm you with a blanket of good sounds. Enjoy!

This week on The Big Show, we kick off the month of December by celebrating the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles' sixth studio album, "Rubber Soul" throughout the program! Considered to be a huge leap both creatively and musically, "Rubber Soul" is one of our favorites and we're pleased to be celebrating it with you! in addition, we have the usual bit of fun for you, including a new Top 5 at 10, a bunch of great requests and a whole lot more - including some seasonal songs, a few cups of cheer and even a slice of homemade apple pie! It was a swingin' affair from start to finish, hopefully you will swing along with us as well. Enjoy!

It's our big Thanksgiving Show this week on The Pete Sayek Program, and that means we have a veritable cornucopia of fantastic music and fun for your holiday listening pleasure! We missed our usual Wednesday Night show, so we brought a special holiday weekend wrap-up edition to table (no kiddie table here!). In addition to many thankful selections, we'll be playing songs that were Number One on the charts back on Thanksgiving Day in the past, plus we will be talking leftovers and even share a toast or two! There's our usual fun features, including a new Top 5 at 10,  our Beatles Anniversary Spotlights AND this edition has SPECIAL BONUS PODCAST content, too - just something else to be thankful for. So grab yourself a huge plate of leftovers, a cup of cider and crank up the sounds - enjoy!

Also, The Beatles wrap up the Rubber Soul sessions in the Anniversary Spotlight, and we look back at the airing of The Beatles Anthology (and the premiere of Free As A Bird) 30 years ago, a wild time for Fab Four fans. We also look ahead to Thanksgiving Week, and swing successfully in sweet stereophonic sound. Enjoy!

We've got another lively edition of The Big Show for you this week, with almost FIVE HOURS of music, merriment and mayhem! We've got some delightful high-energy sounds to tickle your ears, plus a brand new Top 5 at 10 and some great requests - we were on Aurora watch but all we got here at the studio was some clouds and sleet! We soldiered on with more Rubber Soul sessions in the Beatles Anniversary Spotlight, AND we somehow ended up activating the Wayback Machine to take us back to the music of my early teens, all of it great and all of it designed to awaken your memory banks! In between we also salute composer, arranger, bandleader and trumpeter Billy May and a WHOLE lot more good stuff for your listening pleasure. Hop in the time machine and LET'S GO!

It's our first show of November AND the first show in Standard Time so NATURALLY we're have a wonderful TIME on this week's program, falling back into four hours of fine music for your listening enjoyment! It was a big show, full of fun and laughs - and STORMS! Nothing that caused any interruptions but boy was it wild. After all, it IS November! Beware, you little ghouls and goblins - it's our annual Pete Sayek Program Halloween Spooktacular, live from the Grooveyard! Four hours of all the scary fun you can shake a bag of miniature candy bars at, the perfect accompaniment for your trick-or-treating - or for sorting out all your tasty loot at the end of the night! Even if you are just sitting around at home staring at the Jack-O-Lantern, it's still hauntingly good fun for your spooky listening needs! Of course, we also have our regular features, a brand new Top 5 at 10 AND The Beatles are still in the studio recording Rubber Soul in our Anniversary Spotlight! So turn down the lights...lock the doors and close the shades...and turn up the tunes - IF YOU DARE! Enjoy!
