We've got another crackling summertime funtime edition of The Pete Sayek Program for you this week, with a full compliment of fine music and frivolity! This week on Le Grand Spectacle, we mark the 60th Anniversary of the release of The Beatles' fifth studio album, "Help!". Of course, the show was SO swingin' that we almost forgot! Fret not, we eventually remembered and all due commemorations were provided in full! Along the way we had a boisterous evening of music and mayhem, with a brand new Top 5 ay 10, a bunch of YOUR great requests, a few larger-than-life musical birthdays to celebrate AND a rockin' live TV appearance in our regular Beatles Anniversary Spotlight! It's a jam-packed night of sounds, ably hosted by your silly emcee, me. So feel free to grab a grog of the good celebratory stuff and enjoy!

Feeling a tad under the weather last Wednesday, we opted to hold off a few days and do an impromptu Friday night show, and that seems to have been a fortuitous decision as we had a big turnout and a lot of fun, too! Yes, we had all our usual fun features, a new Top 5 at 10 and whatnot, plus some great requests and a hoppin' chat room that made the night even more fun! Of course, we have some spectacular music birthdays to commemorate, plus a few crazy cat encounters and even some time for snacks and beverages! It was the perfect way to start off the first weekend of August and we hope you'll agree, too. Enjoy!

It's another humdinger of a show this week here at The Pete Sayek program, with four-plus hours of maximum music and merriment! It's a swingin' affair, loaded with great tunes and our usual fun features, like a brand-new Top 4 at 10 and (of course) YOUR great requests AND a brand new single release in our Beatles Anniversary Spotlight. We also remember Connie Francis, Ozzy Osbourne and Golden Earring's George Kooymans during the proceedings. As always, there's a myriad of memorable musical birthdays and it's entirely possible that your host had ingested one Mexican Coca-Cola too many. Along the way we have a bunch of memorable music and mayhem, plus we remember the Live Aid concerts on their (gulp) 40th Anniversary, and even spin a demented song or two! This week on the Program we celebrate the 85th birthday (on 7/7) of the man that put the Beat in the Beatles, Ringo Starr! Throughout the festivities, we have a generous sampling of sounds from Sir Richard Starkey, MBE - both solo and with those Beatle guys! In addition, we have our usual fun fare afoot - a brand new Top 5 at 10 and YOUR great requests, a plethora of OTHER momentous musical birthdays, plus a lot more fun 'n games! It's summertime funtime AND a birthday bash all rolled into one. Grab a slice of cake and enjoy!

This week we celebrate America's 249th Birthday with our Independence Day Spectacular! We've got sounds of freedom all program long, with plenty of patriotic favorites and stories of celebrations in the past, plus we highlight songs that were Number One on the charts on July 4th in years gone by throughout the show as well! Of course, we also have a brand new Top 5 at 10, and all the other fun stuff you know and love. There's even music for your OWN fireworks display so we've got you covered in every way! So fire up the grill, take a dip in the pool and unwrap those rockets because the Fourth is more fantastic with great music! Enjoy!

This week we have our annual Summer Kickoff Show, where we usher in the season with sounds of the surf and the sun (and everything in between)! There's a lot of reminiscing about summers gone by, and SO MUCH music that we needed FIVE FABULOUS HOURS to squeeze it all in! In between we'll take a summer road trip together and also provide the soundtrack! Get out your party hats for this week's offering, as we're not just celebrating MY birthday (on 6/22) but we're celebrating Paul McCartney's 83rd birthday as well! Yes, there are beverages AND cake so it's a literal party on the Program, with a special birthday-themed Top 5 at 10 and a whole lot more fun! The Beatles return to the studio in our Anniversary Spotlight, plus we (belatedly) celebrate Flag Day and of course, we remember the legendary Lou Christie.
