It's a special swingin' edition of The Pete Sayek Program this week as we celebrate the 100th birthday of the one and only Chairman of Board, Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra! It's another four hours of musical merriment - even though we didn't feel all that merry on Wednesday. We soldiered on nonetheless and thankfully, it turned out to be a pretty decent offering! This week on The Big Show, we kick off the month of December by celebrating the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles' sixth studio album, "Rubber Soul" throughout the program! Considered to be a huge leap both creatively and musically, "Rubber Soul" is one of our favorites and we're pleased to be celebrating it with you! in addition, we have the usual bit of fun for you, including a new Top 5 at 10, a bunch of great requests and a whole lot more - including some seasonal songs, a few cups of cheer and even a slice of homemade apple pie! We missed our usual Wednesday Night show, so we brought a special holiday weekend wrap-up edition to table (no kiddie table here!). In addition to many thankful selections, we'll be playing songs that were Number One on the charts back on Thanksgiving Day in the past, plus we will be talking leftovers and even share a toast or two! We've got another lively edition of The Big Show for you this week, with almost FIVE HOURS of music, merriment and mayhem! Even if you are just sitting around at home staring at the Jack-O-Lantern, it's still hauntingly good fun for your spooky listening needs! WHAT a show we had this week - the joint was jumpin' and the music was crankin'! You always know when it's been a good time because the program flies by SO fast, and that's exactly what happened with this offering. In addition to all the hot 'n happy hits, we mark the birthday of two great musical legends this week: The Godfather of Rock and Roll, Chuck Berry and Charlie T. Wilbury himself, Tom Petty with plentiful selections throughout the presentation. Well, fellow pisans and pisanas - it's our annual Columbus Day sbrindellata, complete with a multitude of festive Italian favorites, a few glasses of very strong coffee, and even a baked good or two!
