It was a big crowd for a special Memorial Day show this week, where (as we like to do) we feature songs that at were Number One on the charts on Memorial Day Weekend in the past throughout the program. We also have our usual stuff for you, including a new Top 5 at 10, some Beatles Anniversary Spotlights, your wonderful requests, and a myriad of musical memories to make your mind merry. As always, there's some musical birthdays on tap, including some of my personal favorites - AND we look ahead to another summer of The Pete Sayek Program on the horizon. And as we always do, we take some time to remember all those that have given all to keep us free and make these sorts of shenanigans possible, in memory of the many.

It was yet another dark and stormy Wednesday night here at the studio, and that always makes things a little dicey - but thankfully, despite the power going on and off before the show, we had smooth sailing during the program portion of the evening! It was another swingin' affair, with a lively crowd and some lovely sounds, some great requests AND the usual fun features: a brand new Top 5 at 10, some memorable musical birthdays and more of the Revolver sessions in our Beatles Anniversary Spotlight. Hooray, hooray, it's finally May - and The Pete Sayek Program is here today! This week, we celebrate all the Moms out there with some Mother's Day music and memories (thanks, Moms!). We've also got some belated Cinco de Mayo celebrations to whet your whistle, a myriad of majestic musical birthdays to commemorate, a bunch of YOUR great requests, a grand Top 5 at 10, and the Revolver sessions continue in our Beatles Anniversary Spotlight. We also salute the legendary Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby's 123rd Birthday (5/3). It's quite a busy week here on The Pete Sayek Program - we've got plenty of great music (of course), astronauts coming back from The Moon, a HISTORIC edition of the Top 5 at 10 and tons more to keep you warm on a chilly spring night! We celebrate the birthday of the legendary Marvin Gaye (4/2) throughout the show, and an exciting edition of the Beatles Anniversary Spotlight as the Fab Four return to the studio to begin sessions for their next album, Revolver. And we somehow made it through four hours despite a calliope stomach situation. It's a night of thrills, spills and chills on The Big Show, stand back and enjoy!
