We kick off the month of February here at The Pete Sayek Program with a jam-packed edition of the show for you! There's so much going on this week, I don't know how we managed to squeeze it all in to four hours (maybe with mirrors...?). We (of course) have our usual fun features, with a new Top 5 at 10 and your fine requests. Throughout the program, we remember the rock legends Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. We also remember Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night with some great musical selections. Any early-February show wouldn't be complete without a tip of the cap to the good old Groundhog, so we made sure he's not left out, even IF he says we have six more weeks of this mess to look forward to. There MAY come a time in your life when you might consider doing a show while you have the flu. Don't do it. I've done it for you. For whatever reason, I thought that would be a good idea. It wasn't. I already felt horrible and doing a show only made things feel even horribler. Somehow, we managed to get a halfway-decent program together for you (albeit truncated due to near-expiry) and that's what we present to you this week. Fret not, we still have a brand new Top 5 at 10 for you, and a bunch of great music - plus, I only fell asleep during songs twice! I woke up right away in each instance, so I guess that's OK. Consider it an experiment in working in adverse conditions. Thankfully, listening to the show is NOT contagious, but I recommend a cup of hot tea anyway.

It was a fun week here on the Pete Sayek Program as we had the TURNTABLE hooked up (as promised) and actually spun records all night long throughout the show! In addition to performing the duties of an actual DISC jockey, we had plenty of good fun for all the cats and kittens, with a new Top 5 at 10 and our usual fun featurettes. Plus, we celebrate the birthday of Elvis Presley (1/8) throughout the presentation with generous samplings of The King (some from the turntable, too!).
