It's our first "official" show of October, and this week we are celebrating John Lennon's birthday a couple of days early with some of his best from from both the Beatles and solo years throughout the program...in addition, we have our usual fun 'n freewheeling features, with a brand new Top 5 at 10, your great requests and a whole lot more music and fun. We even have some Monkees memories thrown in for good measure! It's a fine four hours of great tunes I'm sure you will like. Enjoy!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to bump Wednesday's show to Saturday this week - but that actually ended up being the catalyst for an interesting evening of programming on The Big Show as we opened the bar and served a few cocktails (don't worry, no one was operating heavy machinery). Things got a bit loose, and wild and wooly, but we had a fun time and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! We originally planned to just do a laid back presentation, but we ended up doing all our usual stuff - so there IS a new Top 5 at 10 for you, plus some great requests, some Beatles AND Monkees anniversary tidbits (because every good imibing establishment should serve snacks). It's our annual celebration of the Autumnal Equinox this week, as we welcome in my personal favorite time of year, the Fall! We've got some seasonal sounds to celebrate the turning of the leaves, plus our usual fun features. Summer might be winding down, but The Pete Sayek Program is still spinning the white-hot sounds and keeping it cool! Well, things got off to a laborious start this week as Yours Truly needed to tackle some audio issues (STILL not sure what those darned gremlins did), but things went rather rockingly the rest of the way, thankfully as we presented our special pre-Labor Day special! It was a fun welcome to the month of September, full of great requests, a rocking chat AND our usual fun featurettes! We have a new Top 5 at 10 for you, plus we're spotlighting songs that were Number One on the charts on Labor Day in the past. We also look back at The Beatles last regular concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on its' 60th Anniversary. In addition to all the singin' and swingin', it was quite the day for celestial happenings, with a solar eclipse earlier in the day, and the  Perseid meteor shower at night - no wonder there were so many stars about on the show!
