Boy oh boy, we had a LOT of fun with this week's edition of The Program - so MUCH fun that we just had to do another super-sized, five-hour extravaganza! It was THAT wild! The music was coming fast and furious, the requests were rolling in and the fun was in high abundance! How could you NOT do an extra hour? We've got all the usual fun 'n games, with a new Top 5 at 10, our other fine features, AND we celebrate the 83rd birthday (7/26) of Mick Jagger himself throughout the show. It's our way of closing out the month of July in fine fashion (sides and drink included)! So let's spend the night together (musically, of course) and have a ball - enjoy!

It's another swingin' week here on The Program, as we has ALMOST way too much fun playing music and acting silly! We had our usual slate of fun and games for you, including a new Top 5 at 10 - but there's oh so much more, like a barrel full of big music birthdays, including the one and only Dion! As always, there are YOUR great requests and over-the-top hijinks. We discuss the recent rash of atmospheric E-Layer propagation (if you're lost, ask Google!) and the current state of radio, and of course, we remember the legendary Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon throughout the show with a sampling of his biggest songs. This week on The Big Show, we had more fun that you think you could have in four hours, but somehow we had about as much mega-maximum fun that you can possibly have - it was glorious! We had SO much fun, in fact, I almost went five hours again, but thought better of it since it WAS a school night, after all. It COULD have been the nuclear-strength cocktails...well, we had all the fun nonetheless, and if you missed it (or if you just want to listen again, which I totally encourage), we had all our usual fun 'n games, with a new Top 5 at 10, a slew of great requests, some fantastic musical birthdays, and most of all, the good fun was plentiful! Well, our show was delayed by a few days this week, but that didn't stop the insanity from living up to the usual Wednesday-night shenanigans level (even if the host was still feeling a tad woozy)! We review the great America 250 weekend, plus a shiny, new Top 5 at 10 AND a live show in the Beatles Anniversary Spotlight - but most importantly, we are (belatedly) celebrating Ringo Starr's 86th Birthday (7/7) with a heaping helping of sounds from Richard Starkey, MBE throughout the evening! So it's definitely a night of high-quality web-o-rated radio fun for one and all! Saturday nights ARE alright, even when it's for a make-good Pete Sayek Program! Enjoy! 

It's America's 250th Birthday and this week, The Pete Sayek Program is celebrating with all the flag-waving, patriotic sounds one show can muster on our Independence Day Extravaganza! We have over FIVE HOURS of festive firework favorites, plus more great tunes AND all the craziness that an important day demands! It's a BIG anniversary (it's not every day you turn 250), so we just HAD to go BIG too! Among the swingin' sounds, we have a very special Top 5 at 10, your patriotic requests, a slew of Beatles Anniversary Spotlights, the usual amount of July 4th fun, AND we feature songs that were at the Number One Spot on Independence Day in the past throughout the show! There's SO MUCH here that we could have just kept on going, but we decided to save some for NEXT year's show!
