Phantasm (1979) - "Fear is the killer"

Don Coscarelli's 1979 film Phantasm is a fever dream of strange creatures, devices, people and powers that never quite get explained, but that all come together beautifully. With fun characters and a great final boy, not to mention the iconic Tall Man and sentinel spheres, this film is a cult classic for a reason. The first of our round of films from 1979!
