Biography

John Brink was born in Nazi-occupied Holland at the beginning of the Second World War. From the time he could walk, his days often consisted of foraging for food with his brother and sister. His mother was left to raise the three kids alone when their father was drafted into the Dutch Army. They wouldn’t know if he was alive until the liberation of their village, by Canadian soldiers, on April 12, 1945.

This was the exact moment John determined he would make his life in Canada … the land of his heroes. He was only five years old.

Like many others who lived through that time, John has lived his entire life with the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, resulting from being in a warzone.

Biography

Rhonda Parker Taylor is an American writer, entrepreneur, and academic researcher. Born on October 18, 1964, in Noblesville, Indiana, she is the second youngest of five children to Anita and William Parker, founders of a steel manufacturing company. Rhonda’s childhood was spent in the midst of cornfields and cows, attending Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis.

After completing a fashion merchandising program at Bauder College in Arlington, Texas, Rhonda returned to Indiana, where she eventually found her passion for writing. Her debut novel, “Crossroads,” a suspenseful masterpiece, was released in February 2023. Endorsed by bestselling author J.J. Hebert and Golden Globe-nominated actress Mariel Hemingway, the novel has been hailed as a captivating crime thriller that keeps readers intrigued from start to finish.

While pursuing her academic explorations, Rhonda attended the University of Phoenix for a doctoral program in business and earned an MBA and a bachelor’s in science management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Rhonda’s diverse writing spans from educational works to fiction, and she is well-known for her research on emotional intelligence. Her academic achievements extend to being a prominent leader presented at the United Nations Global Compact Committee.

How to navigate being alcohol free during the holidays?

Biography

Rose Ann was a successful C-Suite executive and ministry leader in the church.  She was a working mom of four and a social drinker. Over the years, life’s stresses and a difficult marriage created an environment where her alcohol usage increased significantly. After the collapse of her marriage, her drinking further escalated and she felt like a fraud with God and the Church. AA was not an option in her mind.  She had already submitted to God and didn’t want to call herself an alcoholic.  When COVID-19 hit, she enrolled in a coaching program to put alcohol to the side for three months.  Her experience was extremely transformational, and she recognized God’s instruction embedded in the entire process. She became free of the psychological slavery of this habit through this process.  She identified what alcohol had stolen from her life and understood that God had a better plan for her.  Rose Ann felt called to document what she learned with a daily devotional so others can experience God’s promises through scriptural instruction with hope and a better plan for the future.
