  • Phantom Electric Ghost Interviews Ibis Valdes Pop Culture & Social Justice

Phantom Electric Ghost Interviews Ibis Valdes Pop Culture & Social Justice, Women’s Leadership Development

    Biography

In 2011, Ibis organized with student activists to raise awareness for the lack of support for survivors of sexual violence. In 2013, she was interviewed by the producers of "The Invisible War (2011)," a documentary on sexual abuse culture in the US military. Her interview was featured in the follow-up film "The Hunting Ground (2015)" about survivors of sexual assault on college campuses.

In 2016, she was invited by Lady Gaga and Joe Biden to the Academy Awards to promote the documentary and raise further awareness on a global stage. This was a history-making moment that shone a light on survivors and became a turning point in the Me Too Era. Being a part of it taught Ibis how empathy, and listening to stories of those in marginalized communities can create real lasting change.

Soon after that experience, Ibis wanted to further her education and learn more about protecting human rights, peacebuilding, and development. She pursued an MA in International Law and Human Rights at the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Ibis thrived in classes like International Development and Economic Rights, where she learned about the interaction between economies and human rights. After completing her studies, Ibis dedicated her career to workforce development and entrepreneur support.

  • Phantom Electric Ghost Interview Emily Flood Fitness Coach: "Unshaming Fitness by Reprogramming Your Brain"

Phantom Electric Ghost Interview Emily Flood Fitness Coach: "Unshaming Fitness by Reprogramming Your Brain"

    Biography

Emily is an online fitness & life coach who integrates ritual, psychology, & magical mindset practices with her clients. She competed on the national bodybuilding stage in 2020 & has since been focused on lifting for strength. Her mission is to take shame out of the fitness industry by reprogramming the brain for self love.

    About Emily

Like most women, I got into fitness because I didn't like the way my body looked. My mind ran on a constant dialogue of self hate & anxiety was my day to day norm--to my infinite shame. I threw myself into competitive bodybuilding to battle the post college isolation & loneliness & spent years tracking every single gram of food without ever being allowed to eat out all the way until I competed on the national stage in 2020. As you can imagine I developed some incredible disordered eating habits & fell into binge eating behaviors shortly after. As a fitness coach myself at this point I felt an incredible amount of shame--like I was a total fraud! I set out on a quest to "fix" myself, my eating behaviors, & my anxiety. 2.5 years later after multiple courses, mentorships, & an ADHD diagnosis... I realized that it had been shame itself that directed my disordered eating behaviors as well as my anxiety. In thinking myself as broken, I was fueling the self hate & "not good enough" dialogue that all of my clients also struggled with. Through unshaming my own life: learning to love & accept my full authentic self, I publicly came out as a witch, started to integrate magical mindset practices (which are truly just "spicy psychology" meditations, journeywork, & rituals to get your creative right brain on board) with my clients along with life coaching techniques I'd learned from my many mentors including emotional regulation, somatics, & limiting belief shifting. Through the experience I also escaped an emotionally abusive relationship with someone who has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  I'm extremely passionate about unshaming fitness because frankly, we all have trauma. Whether that was bullying, abuse, assault, or simply growing up with all the messages around what women are "supposed" to look like & eat, how we're supposed to behave, what we're supposed to wear etc... all of that compounds in the brain as shame. "I'm not good enough, I need to fix myself, I always mess up, I'm too much for people etc." And this dramatically impedes people from having success on a fitness journey because it activates the fight or flight portion of the brain, which is also responsible for our trauma responses. The fitness industry is full of coaches who use shame to motivate their clients: shame for what people eat, what their bodies look like, shaming clients for being "lazy or undisciplined" etc & this just keeps people stuck. It's my life's mission to change this & to help people tackle their fitness journeys from self love by reprogramming their brains for self love. I've been mindfully eating for the last year, have not experienced binge eating behaviors in a very long time, & am training for a powerlifting (strength based) competition.

  • Phantom Electric Ghost Interviews “The Taste of Vomit” David Bupp III We discuss the new album “Indoorsman”

Phantom Electric Ghost Interviews “The Taste of Vomit” David Bupp III We discuss the new album “Indoorsman”

i am a rapper and songwriter from Philadelphia. i focus a lot on lyrical themes of mental health, human connection, and emotions. my new record 'The Indoorsman' will be available on digital, cassette, and streaming on March 31st.

    about the album: “The Indoorsman”

The Indoorsman is a story of hope ; the first glimmer of movement after a season of stagnation. A concept record exploring healing and growth through heartbreak and depression; the rediscovering of oneself. Seamlessly blending hiphop and indie pop, with hints of soul, r&b, alternative rock, jazz, and classical (plus maybe the only autotuned polka ballad?). Through dense metaphors, complex inner rhymes, and clever wit, the listener dives straight into the mind of rapper and songwriter The Taste of Vomit, and asks the question, 'How long have I been stuck indoors?'. Some notable features include Duncecap (from Backwoodz Studios), John S Hall (of the 'Detachable Penis' and 'Jesus Was Way Cool' famed band King Missile), HeirMAX (from Fake Four and Cold Rhymes Records), KOURAJ, Love Ulysses, and more. For fans of : Open Mike Eagle, Atmosphere, The Wonder Years, and the moments when you're ugly crying and someone is able to make you laugh.

    About Ash

The question of “where have all the good men gone?” is one that comes up a lot these days. Women are fed up with not being able to find a decent man. They have had enough with being in a position where they are walked on, taken advantage of, and disrespected by users and manipulators time after time. Modern women are in dire need of an effective plan of action towards true empowerment in relationships with men,  and I’m happy to be able to help with just that.

  • Phantom Electric Ghost Talks To Jake Maxwell Didinsky DJ, Music Producer, Event Promoter

Phantom Electric Ghost Talks To Jake Maxwell Didinsky DJ, Music Producer, Event Promoter

    Biography

    • Professional touring DJ and Music Producer as well as event promoter (including events geared for kinksters, furries, and those with sensory issues)

      • Non-binary, Pansexual, Neruodivergant (High Functioning Autism), ADHD, Associated Mood Disorder, GAD

      • Reporter for Switch the Pitch Soccer Covering the USMNT

      • Founder and COO of The LOBO Initiative Non-Profit

      • About Jake

Let's start with the basics I am 29 and identify as non-binary, pansexual and demisexual. I am on the spectrum and neurodivergent. I also have mitochondrial disease, ADHD, associated mood disorder, anxiety, depression and more. I am however an open book on everything.  I am deeply engrained in the kink community and also the furry community.

So I was born and diagnosed with mitochondrial disease when I was young. Over the course of my life my single mother did her best but like most parents of those with chronic illnesses she protected me way to much. When my brothers were born they also were diagnosed with mitochondrial disease I often joke that my mother hit the lottery 3 boys with mito with no trace of it anywhere else in our family.

Having mitochondrial disease has posed many challenges in my life from school where I had an IEP all the way into adulthood. I have always known I was different from everyone else and growing up with that knowledge has made life hard for sure. I also decided however when I was 24 that I was going to stop feeling sorry for myself and not let my condition define me. It was at this point that I launched Lights Out, Barks Out! Or LOBO! for short.

LOBO is a night club event that focuses on being sex positive, kink positive, body positive, gender inclusive, and creating a safe space for all. When we started we were mostly a party in dc for pups and furries but we have grown now to be in 8 cities and to include a wide and diverse group of patrons. LOBO has changed my life and the lives of many others who have found their community and safe space through us. We actually as of a few days ago launched our non-profit wing called the LOBO Initiative which focuses on LGBTQ+ youth and adults and those with disabilities who need a helping hand to achieve their dreams.

In addition to LOBO I am a full time professional DJ and producer and I get the opportunity to play all over the world at circuit parties. This however is at great expense to my overall health.  Having the Mito and being on the road 24/7 working late hours into the 3-5 am time slot isn't good for someone with a mitochondrial cell deficiency. As I said though I made the decision that I wanted to live my life my way and if that means taking a few years off so be it.

I have many more stories to tell but my life has been overcoming one obstacle after the other and I would love the chance to share my story with your audience.

      • Phantom Electric Ghost Interview DeVannon Hubert Author Reconciling Faith And Sexual Freedom

Phantom Electric Ghost Interview DeVannon Hubert Author Reconciling Faith And Sexual Freedom

        BIO

De’Vannon Hubert is the author of Sex, Drugs and Jesus, a memoir about his struggles with drug addiction, drug dealing, homelessness, serving in the Armed Forces, contracting HIV and HEP B, and rejection from his church for his sexuality. De'Vannon is also the author of Don't Call Me A Christian, a book about his views on the catastrophe that is modern Christianity.

De’Vannon is also the host of the Sex, Drugs and Jesus Podcast and is the owner of DownUnder Apparel - A lingerie and sportswear store for men and women. Aside from this, De'Vannon is an Honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of both Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. He also graduated from the Medical Training College of Baton Rouge and is a Licensed Massage Therapist. De’Vannon’s story is one of surviving the social outskirts and finding one’s way back to a balanced path.

A Little Bit More About De’Vannon:

My name is De’Vannon Hubert and I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Discovering my sexuality while growing up as a Christian in the South wasn’t easy, but I didn’t get into any real trouble until my own church told me I wasn’t welcome in God’s house, in my twenties. Dejected, I spiraled into drug addiction and crime, and my drug of choice was crystal meth. After years of living life to the extreme with the craziest drugs and wildest sex I could imagine, my HIV+ diagnosis only told me one thing: Go out with a bang because your life is almost over. Today, my life is a very different story and much has changed. I’m not homeless, I don’t think my life is ending any time soon, and I have an evolving perspective of what it means to live a

balanced and spiritual life. I make it a point to have people in my life who many would say live

on the "social outskirts" and who embrace ideas and practices society believes to be "taboo"

because these are my people and we have so much in common. I have a dirty, sexual, VERY

open mind and yet maintain a strong connection with Jesus Christ. I feel called to tell my story

and connect with others to help them find a greater understanding of themselves and a path to spirituality as well
