In 1993, DNA evidence was found at the scene of a murder.  Unfortunately, the DNA was not a match to anyone and the case could not be solved.  Strangely, this same DNA started to appear at other crime scenes, including murders, heists and break ins.  

The DNA was confirmed to belong to a woman, but it took sixteen years to figure out who she was.

Until her identity was revealed, she was referred to as the Phantom of Heilbronn.
