The Philadelphia Eagles handled the Commanders on Thursday night. It seems like forever waiting for them to play the Rams. On top of waiting the mini bye to see them play, it’s a Sunday night game on top of it. Every week seems to be a ‘prove it’ game. Going up against a real threat and QB with 2 amazing receivers the eagles have a nice chance to put the league on notice!
The Eagles started off slow in Jerry’s World! After the sun died down a little bit so did the Cowboys and the Eagles rolled them. Got much needed rest for a lot of starters, because they have a short week and have to play the Commanders tomorrow night.
The Eagles beat the Jaguars 28-23 the game wasn’t as close as the score suggests yet it was almost a loss. Incredible plays by Eagles players everywhere on the field. Saquon Barkley should be asking for double. We review this game and look forward to playing the Cowboys in Dallas next week.
The Eagles are starting to hit their stride and find their identity at the right time. Jalen Hurts played an almost perfect game, his best of the season. The defense is growing week by week and Fangio is finding the winning combo. All this aside Black Gritty won't give Nick Sirianni any credit but maybe he deserves some.
Saquon Barkley is making waves in the NFL with his new role on the Philadelphia Eagles. This season, the Eagles rank as the second-most effective rushing team, just behind Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry’s squads. Both Barkley and Henry were major off-season pickups. The Cheap Seats will be exploring whether running the ball is becoming the latest trend in the NFL.
Nick Sirianni has finally admitted that this teams identity goes thru the run. Hopefully the Eagles goes thru on a run on the schedule.
A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Jalen Hurts powered the Eagles to a win on Sunday against the struggling Cleveland Browns. But all eyes are on the head coach's demeanor once again. Does Nick Sirianni still have a firm grip on the team? We look forward to Saquons return to Metlife in a big game against the Giants.
Things look grim for the Eagles after their brutal blowout loss in Tampa. Vic Fangio's defense struggles against modern offenses, and Jalen Hurts has become the league's most turnover-prone QB. The overall mood is dismal.
Yet, despite it all, they're still 2-2 and have been missing A.J. Brown for three of those games. Erock and JayA attempts to bring some rationality to a panicked fan base, while Black Gritty tries extremely hard not rage out. This should be an interesting debate!
Following a shockingly stellar defensive showing and standout moments from players like Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert, the Eagles can breathe a sigh of relief with a 2-1 record. However, amid the celebration, the team’s ongoing game mismanagement under head coach Nick Sirianni went largely unnoticed. After the game, Sirianni acknowledged that their current style of play isn’t sustainable—but to what extent does that fall on him? Despite missing key players A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson, Jalen Hurts stepped up to lead the team to a crucial win.
Monday night Philadelphia showed America how great the fans really are… then the game happened. Depending on who you like the least seems to be where the blame ends up going. When a win isn't a win it’s just a loss and we gig thru what happened. We also try to find a solution for the team to turn it around.
The Eagles are going to have to find a way to get a win against a blazing hot New Orleans Saints team. How do we think they can go down there and get the job done?
The Philadelphia Eagles are officially on the road to victory starting the season with a win over the Green Bay Packers. 34-29 win was the high scoring event the guys were expecting. The defense showing up was a little surprising. We're going to talk about the good and bad of the game. Saquon Saquon Saquon why didn't we draft him as a rookie?! We also are going to talk about the REAL home opener on Monday night vs the Atlanta Falcons game. Jalen Hurts loves prime time but Kirk Cousins not so much.
