PiCast Episode 182 - Avengers Campus

Avengers Campus opens officially today. We normally post new episodes on Sundays, but with all the excitement around the new Marvel Land at Disney California Adventure, we wanted to get this out early. A good friend and cast member invited us to the preview of Avengers Campus. We couldn't bring in our phones, but had a good time with the sneak peek! We hope you enjoy the episode.

Are you excited for Avengers Campus? Are you waiting for the Disneyland Pass to return? Will you be venturing to other parks in the meantime? Have you been back yet? Are you planning to? We'd love to hear from you.

PiCast Episode 181 - Knott's Berry Farm Passholders

With the pandemic seemingly winding down and things starting to get back to normal, Disneyland still hasn't announced a new Passholder plan. Having attended and enjoyed several Tasting Events at Knott's Berry Farm we decided to get passes to Knott's this year. It is an incredible value with lots of addons that also are well worth the price. We talk about our first visit as Passholders as well as the Knott's Boysenberry Festival in this episode. We also plug another great podcast, Parks and Cons. THey are THE spot to keep up with all the theme park happenings in So Cal! And don't miss the fun ad for The Graveyard Gallery featuring our pal Nick Monte.

Are you waiting for the Disneyland Passes to return? Will you be venturing to other parks in the meantime? Have you been back yet? Are you planning to? Are you waiting for Annual Passes to return? We'd love to hear from you.

PiCast Episode 180 - Disneyland: The Return

Alas, we are all merely Legacy Passholders now. Relegated to paying full price (depending on the tier) for admission to the Happiest place on Earth. Plus, Xander is 4 now so we have to buy him a ticket too! I know these are minor complaints, but when you are used to having a pass and going whenever you like without trying to beat the clock to get value for your money, it's hard to go back to a single day ticket. We piled the whole family in the van and headed out for rope drop and you'll hear all about it on this week's episode.

Have you been back yet? Are you planning to? Are you waiting for Annual Passes to return? We'd love to hear from you.

PiCast Episode 179 - It's a boy

Well for anyone not following any of our other social media, surprise! It's a boy. We took placement of a newborn boy as foster parents for the 3rd time. We thought we were done for now, but life has a way of keeping you on your toes. He is a sibling of our daughter who we just finalized adoption in April (see episode 177) and we are honored to love and care for him as long as he is with us. On that note, our Voicemail friend also listened to episode 177 and was inspired to call us. So it's an exciting episode.

If you have tips for this family of 5 (now) with three kids 4 and under and introducing a newborn to the routine, please reach out. Or if you'd like to discuss foster care and adoption, we are very open about our journey. May is Foster Care Awareness Month after all.

PiCast Episode 175 - Hoppy Easter 2021

It's Easter Sunday. We hope you are having a wonderful day with your family no matter what you may or may not be celebrating today. As for our house, we are celebrating another visit from the easter bunny along with all the candy filled eggs he brings. This week we also talk about our trip to the Drive in. Sponsored by the Autism Society of the Inland Empire, we took our littles to see Hop with James Marsden and Russel Brand. The movie was OK, but the event was great. We talk also about Autism Acceptance Month and go off on a tangent about Zoom school and learning styles.

Let us know how you are spending your month. It's important in the month of April to lift up Autistic voices and to actually listen to Autistic people. This month (and every month) we want to put our energy into charities and organizations that believe our core values as well. We're doing a walk and raising money for our local @autisticsocietyinlandempire and if you want to support our walk here is the link: https://autismsocietyiewalk.flipcause.com/secure/fundraiser/NzQzNzE=/55811?utm_source=sendgrid.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=website&fbclid=IwAR2GwcIKHgGjo5lRIjNF0kOtfnKUSntokORAtUZVBc5zko8_DfjirPNnh98
