PiCast Episode 172 - Pi Day 2021

Happy Pi Day! It's our 6th anniversary and we are spending the weekend in San Diego relaxing in a hotel room. Don't worry, if we go out, we will be sure to double mask! Last year we were supposed to go to Disneyland Paris for our 5th anniversary but alas, Covid. The world is still in a pandemic a year later so we are trying to enjoy our irrational Pi Day as best we can. On this episode we talk about our plans and listen to a couple of voicemails! We'd love to hear how you are spending your Pi Day. Call and leave us a voicemail too!

PiCast Episode 169 - Star Wars Sequel Trilogy 2: Electric Boogaloo

Not only is this a very special PiFailsNerdCast reunion episode, but it's also a two-parter! Our dear friends Monica and Chris, formerly of the Nerd Fails podcast and resident Star Wars experts, join us as we discuss (kind of) Episodes Seven through Nin of the Skywalker Saga. You may recall that after Riding Rise of the Resistance, Scott found out that Brittany's sister had never seen ANY of the Star Wars films! Scott made everyone agree to watch all of the films (one a month) this year. We also decided to watch them in chronological order including Solo and Rogue One. We also did the Original and Lego Star Wars Christmas Specials. If you haven't listened to the previous episodes, you may want to go back and check them out. This is a little bit of a rambling episode because we spend more time just having fun with our friends over zoom than really getting into the films. So if you feel like we missed something, please reach out via our voicemail, email, Twitter, or Instagram.

PiCast Episode 166 - Radio Wars and Iron Man

There is a lot going on in the Podcast world this week! If you don't know, Scott often calls in to Geek Stuff TNG as the West Coast Correspondent and lately has been calling It's Erik Nagel just to say "hi". Well a few weeks back, an anonymous Heckler started calling Erik to talk smack about Scott and then jumped over to Geek stuff the last two weeks too. We talk about all this and then Scott gives a rundown of the first Marvel Movie Monday: Iron Man.

What do you think of the anonymous heckler? Any comments on Iron Man or any other MCU film? We'd love to hear from you!

PiCast Episode 165 - Soul

Just like WW84, We didn't get to watch Soul on Christmas, but we were finally able to sit down and watch once we got back home. Although the film didn't make a huge impression on us at first, our son has been asking to see it often. Upon multiple viewings, the movie has grown on us as well. We take a little time to discuss the film this week on a rainy Saturday in Southern California.

We also talk about the first of 26 new board games we will play in 2021. Our goal is to play a new one as a family every other week with one member taking the responsibility of learning it each time to teach the rest.

What did you think about Soul? Do you have a Board Game to recommend? We'd love to hear from you!
