PiCast Episode 164 - WW84

We didn't get to watch it on Christmas, but we were finally able to sit down and watch the new Wonder Woman film. It is a bit of a let down after the first one, but you can hear all about that in the episode. Also there is a voicemail at the end from our pal Monica!

PiCast Episode 162 - Christmas in TN

Happy New Year friends! We are still getting back on our schedule as we recover from our trip to Tennessee for Christmas. We took precautions and stayed masked and made it a road trip to keep control over our environment. We didn't get a chance to record this episode until today. So it's a bit late, but here it is.

PiCast Episode 161 - Santa

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year friends! This is a short episode with a bonus feature at the end. Brittany's brother happens to be close personal friends with Santa Claus and was able to arrange a home visit for Santa Photos during the pandemic. It was a great way to get those important family photos in this horrible year.

After we talk about that, we have added a bonus segment. We discussed the Saved By The Bell board games after the episode on the pilots but that was too long to include so we have added it here as a special holiday gift!

PiCast Episode 160 - The Star Wars Holiday Specials

Merry Christmas friends! Brittany and Scott sat down to watch the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. We recently completed the Skywalker saga as a family so it was time to endure this disavowed bit of Star Wars history. It is awful. Long, boring, and really only a few minutes of the characters you want to see. In this episode we talk all about it. We also watched the new Lego Star Wars Holiday special. That was a little silly (but it is for kids) but much better than the 1978 one.

Have you ever seen the Holiday Special? Give us a call and tell us your thoughts.

PiCast Episode 159 - Saved By The Bell Pilots

I'm sure you all know that Brittany is a huge fan of Saved by the bell. We went to the Saved by the Max pop up a couple years back in LA (you can find that old episode on Apple Podcasts or Libsyn). Well we didn't have time to binge the entire season of the reboot on the Peacock streaming service, so we decided to just watch the pilot episodes of SBTB. That means we watched the first episode of "Good morning Miss Bliss" the original show focusing on Hailey Mills' character and then the first episode with the traditional cast, The College Years, The New Class, and the Reboot. We get a little into the weeds on this. We hope you enjoy it.

What was your guilty pleasure show? We'd love to hear from you.

PiCast Episode 158 - Knott's Taste of Merry Farm

We ventured out again to the social distancing world of Knott's Taste of Merry Farm. We liked the food a little bit better this trip. We tried to stay masked and distant to be safe. Are you venturing out? Let us know. As we wrap u 2020, here are some topics in the hopper: (i.e. Topics you can call in and leave your thoughts on): The Star Wars Lego Holiday special & original Star Wars Holiday Special, The Saved By The Bell pilots, Saved by the bell reboot, Shameless S1-6, and the final Star Wars Trilogy. We'd love to have any comments or suggestions on those topics.

PiCast Episode 156 - The Unicorn

We discovered a new sitcom on Netflix called the Unicorn. We didn't realize it debuted on CBS last year. We caught up on season one just in time for season two to start on CBS All Access. The main draw of the show is the cast, particularly, Walton Goggins. Scott is a big fan of him from The Shield, Hateful 8, and the Righteous Gemstones. He is a fantastic actor who usually plays very intense characters. This is a departure from that. It's a family oriented sitcom about a group of friends trying to get their widower friend (Goggins) back into the dating world. Since he is single, able to be in a long term relationship and not only interested in hooking up, he is known as the titular "Unicorn".

PiCast Episode 155 - Sea Safari Park World

Sorry this episode is late! We usually try to post Sunday morning but we were tired Saturday night and had to wait until today to record! We went to Sea World yesterday. We are doing our best to remain safe and socially distant but still experience things when we can! Brittany also took another trip to the San Diego Safari Park (also known as the Wild Animal Park ((WAP)). How are you all dealing with the pandemic and lockdown fatigue? We'd love to hear from you.

Also, November is Adoption Awareness month. We talk about a great organization that helps Foster kids, Together We Rise. Look them up and donate if you can. We sent them some board games to provide to kids in the foster system and last year we volunteered to chaperone a group on a trip to Disneyland. Look them up!

PiCast Episode 154 - Blue Moon

What a long strange trip this week has been. We started with a socially distant family halloween party and then the election that lasted a year! We talk about our upcoming plans and a few other theme park related topics on this episode. We hope you and your family are all safe and healthy as we move into the home stretch of 2020.
