This week’s theme on the Retirement Quick Tips Podcast is: Change Your Bad Money Habits With 5 Simple Tweaks
Yesterday, I talked about how to identify your bad money habits. Once you have 1 or 2 or 10 bad money habits that need to get out of your life, what’s next?
Something I came across over and over again while researching this week’s theme was the advice: Don't try to change a bunch of things all at one time. Pick just 1 bad habit to focus on
Problem with resolutions or goals is that we can try to accomplish too much at one time, and it leads to failure.
Gave up sweets for Lent. After the first week it became a lot easier. Had I also given up wine or tried to build another new habit along with it, it would have been much harder for me
Maybe you have a habit of going out for lunch more than you’d like and it’s is a bad habit you want to break. Just focus on that.
Often better to focus on easier habits that aren’t so ingrained or addictive, so you can break it sooner, replace it with a better habit, and get a quick win that will be motivating in continuing with improving your financial health in other areas
That’s it for today. Thanks for listening! My name is Ashley Micciche and this is the Retirement Quick Tips podcast.
