Hi friends!
Join us in as we talk to Daria Dugar, a licensed professional counselor. Daria has navigated starting her own telegraphy business from home, with her husband and twin boys.
This episode Daria addresses the many battles others have been having with COVID blues, teens that have been affected and the advice she gives them.
If you feel you’ve had an increase in anxiety or depression, please reach out and talk to someone!
Why not celebrate our 10th episode with the 'mother' of all battles when it comes to kids...KNOWING WHEN YOU'RE READY TO HAVE THEM! Of course, this depends on each person and each family, but is there a right time to start? Is there a moment you should get or feel that lets you know it's time? What if you and your partner aren't on the same page?
This week, we talk to Kaela's sister Krystal about this very battle. She and her husband Alex just got married in May of 2021 and moved from the midwest to Colorado! Krystal is almost 24 and Alex is almost 27. He is ready to start a family, but she isn't sure she is.
Listen to the "professionally unprofessional parenting advice" we give her!
Isn't it funny how the older you get, the harder it is to remember your age? Also, at what point did we stop "going out" and celebrating our birthdays to being content with a good dinner and bed by 9pm?!
This episode we talk not only about getting older, but also the joys of your kid's FIRST BIRTHDAY! Lets be honest, it's a big deal! Whether you threw a big party, a small get-together at home, or didn't do anything, the first birthday is definitely more for the adults.

Exactly two years ago, basically to the day, everyone's lives changed. The novel Coronavirus shut the world down. We were forced to stay inside for days, which turned into months, and then years.
During Covid, we had babies - something that a tiny franction of the population will get to experience (lucky us). If you asked us what we thought the world would be like when Wyatt and Maesyn entered the world, it sure as shit wouldn't have included a global pandemic!! Restrictions seemed to change by the week, so we both had different experiences during the lockdowns and quarantines - as did everyone!
The New York Times released an aritcle called, "Oh, By the Way: I Had a Baby" (also linked below) and it highlights how women navigated their pregnancies in different ways while also navigating the Coronavirus.
Thankfully we, and the women featured in the article, were both able to find some silver linings through this wild time and you'll get to hear some of those in this episode.
Enjoy!

There is no such thing as a dumb question, right? We've all been told that since elementary school, but when it comes to your children it doesn't feel that way!
Imagine sitting in the pediatrician's office with a crying baby or a bratty teenager. The routine exam is done, information is thrown at you, and your provider asks, "Do you have any questions?" At this point your mind does two things - one, it goes blank, and everything you wanted to ask goes out the window. Or two, that one question you've been wanting to ask, you're too nervous to ask.
In this episode, we talk to Emily Rusticus, a pediatric nurse practitioner who also just so happens to have been taking care of Wyatt since day one! She is a mama of four - including a set of twins - who offers great advice to parents of kids of all ages!
Her biggest piece of advice: If you have a question about something, chances are, someone else will too.
We've all been there - out in public when your kid decides to be a total asshole. If you don't have kids, you've at least witnessed these meltdowns.
Our special guest this week turned her son's outburst at Olive Garden into a TikTok phenomenon and now creates news reports based on real events. Kayla Sullivan, a former news reporter, is creating videos that anyone can relate to and she has a public service announcement for those "judgy moms" out there...just don't.

Do you believe in zodiac signs or astrology? In Battle of the Speech our guest Stephanie revealed that her son is a "triple Gemini"...making our heads spin. What the hell does that mean!?
This is a part of that conversation that we originally cut out from episode 4, but decided it was too good not to share.
What was your child's first word? Mama? ...Dada?...Gleebah? Any Friends fans out there? But for some kiddos, words don't come right away, and as parents, what do you do? This can be a very stressful time filled with comparisons, "advice" from outside your household, and constant worrying about what you as a mom or dad could have done differently.
This episode features our first guest - Stephanie Winn, WHNP - who shares her battle with her son's speech delay and how he is thriving after working with a speech professional.
We have all heard the saying "breast is best"...but is it really? Is it best if it takes a mental toll on you? Or your physical health? Or your relationship? What if your milk never comes in? This is an important topic to talk about and normalize the saying "FED IS BEST."
This episode also includes the launch of - The Zander Zone! This is really a chance for Kaela's husband and Maesyn's dad to join in on the fun!

As we know, there isn't a manual that's given to you when you have a child and Kaela and Dayna are here to share their peaks, pits, and lessons learned along the way.
Kaela is a stay-at-home mom and lives in southwest Michigan with her two children, two dogs, and husband, Zander.
Dayna works full-time in the corporate world and has a son, a dog (whom she refers to as her firstborn) and her husband, Jimmy.
The idea for this show, like Dayna's son, was born during the COVID pandemic and has been a fun and wild ride ever since.
