Giving birth- quite literally a labor of love. They ask for your birth plan and you prepare yourself mentally for what’s ahead. But what about when your birth goes NOTHING like you planned? Well then, we’re in the same boat.
This bonus clip is the story of Atlas’s birth, how he quickly came into our world and left his mama speechless. Though the birth may have been traumatic, we are thankful for a healthy baby boy.
We've hit 40 episodes & we're wrapping up Season 1!
What a better way to celebrate than looking back at our favorite moments, what we would do differently, and what we're most excited for in Season 2.
We cannot thank all of our followers, supporters and listeners enough! The past 40 episodes have been so much fun and we have learned so much.
We also get to experience the highly requested, Zander Zone as a farewell to season 1. We won't be gone long, just long enough for Kaela to learn how to juggle life with 2 kids.
Finding the perfect daycare can be tricky. What questions should you ask? What happens if you no longer like the services? And sometimes, you find the PERFECT spot but still need to switch!
This episode Dayna and I both battle with switching our kids daycare, for very different reasons.
Pick Your Battles drops weekly on Wednesdays and can be listened to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts!
Part two of our first-ever round table interview- Pregnancy and infant loss.
This episode you'll get to hear about how everyone grieved, what they do to honor their babies, and what they've learned from their experiences. They also share what NOT TO say to someone battling loss!
We are super appreciative of Janice, Lindsey, Lauren & Ryan for sharing their stories and sharing their hearts. We love that even though this may be a difficult topic, we were still able to create some laughs along the way.
October is many things, breast cancer awareness month, Halloween, but did you know it’s Infant Loss Awareness Month? 1 in 4 women in the U.S. experience a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Chances are, someone you know has been through this, even if they aren’t publicly sharing.
This episode we do our very first “round table” interview. We chat with Lindsey, Janice, Lauren & Ryan about their journeys with loss. In part one of two, we get to hear each of their stories and what exactly they’ve been through.
Stay tuned as part 2 will air next week and you’ll get to hear and learn even more.
It's 9pm and your baby has been asleep for 2 hours...then...out of nowhere...the start screaming! They aren't hungry because they had a bottle before bed, they aren't in pain because you gave them Tylenol just in case their teeth start to hurt, and a little bit of pee in their diaper doesn't phase them anymore. So what's the problem!?
We've heard of the "cry it out" method, right? Well, this episode is all about that. It's short, sweet, and too the point - much like we all hope for bedtime to be!
Creating healthy habits from an early age is so important- especially when it comes to oral hygiene! This episode we learn when to schedule that first dentist appointment, how often to brush your child teeth, when to start flossing and more.
We also ask the dreaded question- when do we need to give up the pacifier? If you're in the same boat as us, this may be step you're not looking forward to. Our guest, Dr. Amanda, D.D.S, share's some tips and tricks to help make that transition fun and smooth.
This episode we talk with Stef Tousignant, author of The Middle of the Night book & a gratitude nerd! Stef teaches us all about incorporating gratitude into parenting and our everyday lives. She even gives out some pointers on how you can easily do this and start to change your habits.
Give Stef a follow on Instagram @parent_differently or visit her website parentdifferently.com to learn more about parenting with gratitude!
Part two of our adoption interview with Phil & Josh.
We got to hear about how Josh felt when Phil went back to work, and I know it’s something we all can relate to. Also, the worries of becoming a first time parent!
A huge thank you to Josh & Phil for being so open and vulnerable about their experience and sharing it with us!
Although only 2% of the US have adopted a child, studies show that 1/3 of couples have talked about building their families through adoption. This week, our guests Josh and Phill fall into both groups!
We had such a great interview with them that we had to turn this episode into two parts! In this episode, you'll learn about how their relationship started, what a non-negotiable was for Josh when he was looking for a partner, and how long it took (or didn't) to get to hold their baby boy Oliver.

As we know, there isn't a manual that's given to you when you have a child and Kaela and Dayna are here to share their peaks, pits, and lessons learned along the way.
Kaela is a stay-at-home mom and lives in southwest Michigan with her two children, two dogs, and husband, Zander.
Dayna works full-time in the corporate world and has a son, a dog (whom she refers to as her firstborn) and her husband, Jimmy.
The idea for this show, like Dayna's son, was born during the COVID pandemic and has been a fun and wild ride ever since.
