Not even a year since the attacks on Vilma Kari and Noel Quintana, we are faced with the news of more attacks in NYC. 

During the month of August, two more racially-charged attacks toward Philippine people have occurred.  

One the incidents involved a nurse that was distributing masks to subway passengers. 

This case involved a couple verbally harassing and physically hurting said nurse.  The other incident included an attack toward a veteran Miss Saigon performer. The performer was attacked and robbed outside of their apartment in NYC.

In this episode, we cover the news as it was told on other platforms, as well as bring up solutions on what the community can do to solve this issue.

It's officially the halfway point of the season. We've covered the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest in this season, now it's time to take it to the concrete jungle that is New York City.

In this episode, we get down with long-time friend and community mentor, Anthony Deguzman, to talk about one of the biggest events in San Diego County, and what it took to build up to it.

You're in for a sweet treat for this week's episode! In this episode, we get down with the current E-board for the Philippine American Youth, and a couple OGs. The Philippine American Youth Organization is a non-profit organization, based in San Diego, that caters to high school-aged youth. 

It was founded by Juanito Amor back in 2002 with the goal of holding space Fil-Am youth in San Diego to explore their culture. This is the organization where founder, Alfredo Leano, got his start in organizing. We take the time to reflect on how the organization has grown over the past 19 years.
