For 50 years pines have dominated the southeast  region. We’ve been told that you can manage for whitetails and grow pines. But at the end of the day, pine management does not produce enough forage and cover for adequate whitetail management to offer year round resources. Thinning and burning sometimes isn’t even enough! There are many challenges that the pine market faces moving forward, so be wise!
