God has placed a conscience in every single one of us, to be that still small voice that warns us against wrong decisions and steers us towards truth.  But by constantly suppressing the truth, we defile our conscience.  Today we'll look at a man who was haunted by a guilty conscience - guilty, but not forgiven.

Israel entered the Promised Land and immediately had to conquer the heavily fortified city of Jericho.  Through their story, we learn many lessons about how to conquer strongholds in our life and live victoriously in Christ.

Some folks think that if they would just see something miraculous, supernatural, or unusual happen, that they could then believe in the Lord. Jesus said it operates just the opposite. Believe God's Word, not signs and wonders, and you will begin to see Him work! In today's message, Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth and faces rejection. He marvels at their unbelief. How do you respond when you are confronted with the truth?

The children of Israel now have crossed into the Promised Land, and the first thing God does is to render the fighting males unable to make war!

Why? He is teaching the great lesson that we are to be dependent upon God for everything in our Christian life. Maturity comes before victory. Learn the steps that are necessary to be mature and victorious in life's spiritual battles.

Life is full of fears and sometimes hopeless situations.  Jesus has proved He is the Master of all hopeless situations and always responds to genuine faith.  Where do you turn when things look hopeless?

Maybe you've had your Red Sea crossing - you've obtained salvation by the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus. But have you crossed the Jordan? Have you entered the land of living a Spirit-filled and victorious Christian life? Well, if you have, there are some memorials along the way; some high points you can point to that demonstrated the faithfulness and power of God.

After the crucifixion of Jesus, Peter seems to have lost hope.  After the resurrection, Jesus makes sure Peter gets the message that He is alive!  That changes everything for Peter, as it does for us.  Let's be reminded of some things that this hope does in our lives.

Like the woman featured in this text, many today live a life of suffering in the shadows, unknown and seemingly uncared for.  But Jesus cares, and He offers a powerful remedy for whatever ails us.  He is interested in us knowing Him as well as having our needs met.

The Christian life is a call to follow Jesus!  What a great picture of Christ we see in the Old Testament ark of the covenant.  We don't have to know the when, where, and why in life; we just need to keep our eyes of faith on the ark, the Lord Jesus Christ, and move forward by faith at His command!

In these few short verses from Psalm 1, we learn what kind of man God blesses and favors.  Don't be a Christian "tumbleweed"; be like a tree planted by the waters who is healthy in Christ, fruitful and productive.
