Hello Listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice Podcast!
The boys are back with a bang!
We start off with discussing two shows we’re watching—The White Lotus and Only Murders in the Building—and then embark on our promised deep dive into the Oscar-winning film, Anora.
Embedded within that conversation are some of Akha’s dad jokes, our class analysis™, and we also ask the question, “Does having money make you brain-broken?” The answer is, as usual, “It’s complicated.”
So sit back, relax and listen in on a wonderful conversation.
As per usual, we hope you enjoyed it! Please like the episode, subscribe to our podcast, and share it with all those who have ears to listen!

Hosted by Akha Manjezi and Mukisa Mujulizi.

Hello listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice Podcast! This week we meander our way to talking about separating the art from the artist, and Women For Change’s petition to stop Chris Brown from performing in Johannesburg.
But first, Akha (allegedly) evades an extortionate lost parking card fee and details his brief return to the City of Gold. We then touch on the versions of ourselves out in the world before discussing how Instagram is a multitool for single posting, sleuthing, simping, and more. And on another Meta app, we share why our blue ticks are off.
As per usual, we hope you enjoyed the episode! Please do let us know if you did—or if you didn’t—and if there’s anything you’d like us to talk about in the future.

Hello Listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice for our second season! We took some time off after 10 episodes, and now we’re happy to be back for a fresh series of shows.
This week, we delve into our past and what led Mukisa into academia, and Akha down the path of engineering and coding. We explore our journeys and examine the decisions that led us here.
We then have a frank discussion on Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing on Palestinians and Gaza. We question the humanity—or lack thereof—behind the decisions that have led the region into the situation its inhabitants find themselves in today.
And finally, we have a great debate on what qualifies as pizza. Is it a universal taste element or is it subjective? Moreover, how do you pronounce Col’Cacchio?! Akha (and the correct pronunciation) might disagree with you. Listen in to find out.
As per usual, we hope you enjoyed the episode! Please do let us know if you did and if you’d like more in the future—or even if you didn’t and wouldn’t.

Hello listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice Podcast! This week we reflect on our tenth episode, and talk about the French!
In this week’s episode, we touch on French President Macron choosing a right wing Prime Minister, even though a left wing alliance won most of the seats in parliament. This evolves into a broader discussion on conflicting interpretations of Democracy, and whether the will of the people being disregarded is a feature or a bug.
But first, we discuss some follow-up, ruminate about being (or not being) public on social media, issue a pair of corrections on statements past, and ponder on how best to maximise one’s supermarket experience.
As per usual, we hope you enjoyed the episode! Please do let us know if you did and if you’d like more in the future—or even if you didn’t and wouldn’t.

Hello listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice Podcast! This week we talk about some recent goings-on in the US of A!
In this week’s episode, we bring you some coverage on the Democratic National Convention, including how Kamala Harris is pretty much more of the same, Obama’s oozing aura, and a discussion on living with (or without) the consequences of “The Empire’s” actions.
But first, we talk about Cape Town, the costs associated with the things you want to do, and we exchange personal experiences about being scammed abroad.

Hello listeners, welcome back to the Pink Notice Podcast! This week, we continue our brief introduction to South African politics with part two.
At the end of May 2024, South Africa held its seventh democratic general election. With no party winning an outright majority, some parties coalesced to form the “Government of National Unity”. The GNU consists of the ANC, DA, Patriotic Alliance, Inkatha Freedom Party, GOOD, Pan Africanist Congress of Azania, Vryheidsfront Plus, United Democratic Movement, Rise Mzansi, and Al Jama-ah.
As you can imagine, these parties have different bases and policies—and what happens of the next few years may be quite… interesting. But before we discuss what fruits this new government ends up bearing, we take a look at 5 salient aspects of the manifestos of the coalitions’s biggest parties: the African National Congress and the Democratic Alliance.
We hope you enjoy our second deep dive and that you stay subscribed for more episodes—deep or shallow! As always, we thirst for your feedback. If you enjoyed the episode or have any other feedback, please let us know.

Before we get down to business, we have a conversation around approaching people you want to be friends with and having the time to maintain existing friendships—both with varying levels of success. If that wasn’t enough front matter, we also bring you a very very very very serious debate concerning toilets and what should be done with their lids.
We hope you enjoy our second deep dive and that you stay subscribed for part 2! As always, we thirst for your feedback. If you enjoyed the episode or have any other feedback, please let us know.
