The #LiveLikeJoe Memorial Tournament featured a slightly adjusted format this year with two nine-hole tournaments. Both morning and afternoon sessions featured full participation, per tournament organizers, this past Saturday at Pipestone Country Club. Robert Petersen’s group was victorious during the morning nine, scoring 29. Petersen’s team featured Brent Dinger, Zach Warne and Mitch Warne. Ties were broken by “handicap holes.” In the afternoon, Mitchell Biever’s group was tops, a foursome also with Cooper Kanthak, Maddox Biever and McCaden Biever. GUTHRIE, Okla. — Ruthton area resident Sadie DeRuyter placed well at the National Little Britches Rodeo Association meet. DeRuyter placed fourth in the short go on July 5 at Lazy E Arena, recording a time of 24.939. The trail course is not as easy as it sounds, and there was a new pattern for the short go. South Dakota State University multi-time NCAA Division I Tournament qualifier Cael Swensen will serve as guest clinician for the Little Arrow camp. The camp will take place Monday-Wednesday, July 21-23, in the Pipestone Area Schools wrestling room.
