Product vs. service... both have their pros and cons. With technology today, people can sell their products online from the comfort of their home. Service businesses can be an excellent way to create value for your clients and be compensated for it. There may be more work involved in the service industry, but there may be more of an emphasis on logistics with products. Both can be pretty lucrative if you plan it out! Finding your niche is probably one of the most critical things you will do in your company. You can't please everyone, but you can put in the time and effort with a specific demographic. Niching up or down, you need to identify who your target it and what they need/want. When you can be the expert in your product or service, you create strong differentiators for your customers! Niching leads to opportunities in profitability.

Startups and Small Businesses have so many different opportunities than already established and incorporated companies. The 5 C's - Clarity, Customer, Conversation, Content, and Community - breaking down a large project into smaller chunks allows you to focus and be intentional with your time and resources. Small Business have the advantage of being innovative, adapting on the fly. As an entrepreneur it's going to be a vital skill for you to learn how to pivot!

Mistakes were made and lessons (hopefully) were learned. Making mistakes in business is inevitable, especially if you don't have a mentor to help guide you. This video, I go through the common mistakes I've made and have seen throughout the years. I discuss how growing too big and getting yourself into contracts can create a sticky situation, if you don't have a system or plan in place.
