This week, Adam and Jamal take up the tall task of running the first doubleheader episode of Otaku Street; two episodes of Joran back-to-back. Adam gets caught up on Dragon Ball Super and expresses his nostalgia over those PlayStation demo discs from the late 1990s. The boys also discover that although Asahi and Sawa seem to have reached a point where they can finally take a well-deserved sigh of relief, this particular anime has no happy endings. Makoto is an absolute psycho and is obsessed with Sawa. A new challenger appears and he is deadly. Jin gives both Sawa and the audience a glimpse into his backstory. #ChrisWasRight as an old blonde-headed friend makes a shocking return. We also say R.I.P. to Adam’s Xbox One. Another week, another cookout on Otaku Street. Jamal gives some updates on new seasons of both Vinland Saga and The Rising of the Shield Hero. A “new” Nintendo Switch is on the way. As they get into anime-talk, they discuss Makoto’s new prosthetic arm and what plays she may have hidden up her one and a half sleeves. Who could replace Janome as Joran’s next big-bad? Who else but … some dude named Travis. Next, how difficult is it to be a world-class assassin if you’re terrified of blood? Our guess is: pretty hard. So put that car in park, lean that seat all the way back, and join the boys on episode 7 of Otaku Street!

The Otaku boys are back on the anime train. This week’s episode of Joran: Princess of Snow and Blood proved to be an eventful one. Fast-paced fight scenes, legendary anime-style screams, big snakes and plenty of blood. A little bit of everything. The end of the episode left the guys with more questions than answers as they pondered where the show goes from here. Sawa’s a badass with plenty of baggage and this episode only adds to that load. Kick back with the crew and be grateful you’re not a character in this show!

In this week’s episode, the crew welcome a guest commenter to collectively gush in adoration over the first season of “Invincible”, Amazon’s animated superhero cartoon based on the iconic Image Comics series of the same name. Topics range from crew members’ favorite show moments to full-on episode reviews to even theories on where the show will go. “That one scene” is one the guys won’t soon forget, either. Just like the show, this episode of Otaku Street is an action-packed affair (minus the lifelong lies, head crushes and spine snaps). Maybe next time.

The Otaku boys are back in anime mode after taking time to focus on E3. They discuss what exactly makes Naruto’s music so good and which other anime compete. Episode 3 of Joran is definitely setting up for a wild ride of a show. The boys react to this episode’s foreshadowing action scenes, backstabbing schemes and traitorous boobies. Especially the traitorous boobies. Listen (and maybe watch?) along with Jamal, Adam, and Chris as they go full nerd this week on Otaku Street!

Games. Are. Back. And the boys are ready. They talk about E3 2021 and give their “Top 4” lists. There is a massively wide array of games on the way. Just about everything from Battlefield 2042 to Super Smash Bros to Riders Republic is discussed. Will we see a Metal Gear Solid remake? The guys sure as s*** hope so. Is there a reason to play super hero games anymore? Is free multiplayer the right move for the industry? Who’s going to pay for all of these damn games? Get ready to go broke in the name of gaming and enjoy Otaku Street’s E3 2021 review.

Monday hit the guys hard this week but Jamal has energy to spare (thanks to the copious amounts of drugs). Resident Evil Village is running fresh in Adam’s Xbox and he can’t keep his mind off anything other than Lady D’s “imposing stature”. Nobody’s sure what’s happening in Joran: Princess of Blood and Snow even after the second episode but they trot along. Also Jamal is apparently an employee in the Museum of Japanese National History.

What is the definition of a nerd? The guys ask each other which way is the best way to describe themselves. Episode 1 of Joran: Princess of Blood and Snow is “reviewed” and discussed. Favorite animals come into play for some reason and Chris talks way too long about it. What’s a demon? Will Chris ever stop talking about cheetahs? Will Wopeh ever wake up?
