Plans for a new “golden fleet” of warships has been announced by President Donald Trump. This will see the creation of “Trump-Class” battleships, which are 100 times more powerful than previous American warships.

The move comes amid growing concerns that the United States has lost its systems for wartime production, and amid a new push for factories to build new military ships in the face of growing maritime threats from China.
