Planet FPL - The Fantasy Football Podcast

A week later than originally scheduled James welcomes Watford correspondent Stephen Toumi to the Podcast discuss to discuss Hornets promotion back to the Premier League and find out what has changed since relegation in 2019/20. Strengths and weaknesses of the team are covered, the favoured formation, if star man Ismaila Sarr will stay, new names who may not be familiar now such as Francisco Sierralta and Joao Pedro but may be come August are covered. We find out why Watford may be the best equipped of the promoted clubs to do well but will Xisco Munoz be given the chance to take the club forward when the Pozzo family are normally so quick to change the manager in charge? On this Clash of the Correspondents James welcomes Mum and son duo Gemma and Harrison Eno and Dan Lord to discuss their respective clubs West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool ahead of Sunday's Gameweek 36 meeting at The Hawthornes.

West Brom's future is discussed following relegation, will Sam Allardyce stay on and can he bring The Baggies back up? Will the squad stay together and can the brilliant Matheus Pereira still prove an excellent FPL option in the remaining three Gameweeks?

And can Liverpool still finish in the top four? Four wins should do the job but can The Reds find the consistency they need ahead of Thursday's trip to Old Trafford?

Plus, is Mo Salah the standout FPL captaincy option this weekend and is Trent Alexander-Arnold worth the extra in FPL over his Liverpool defensive teammates?

On today's Podcast Suj and James discuss the 9 games played so far in Treble Gameweek 35 and while it's been a good start for Suj it's not gone so well for James's FPL team...

There's a discussion of what may be to come this week, the transfers in mind for the remaining Gameweeks and captaincy for Gameweek 36. Are there alternatives to Harry Kane and Mo Salah?

In the review of the games, forwards put their hands up for FPL consideration including Newcastle's Callum Wilson who returned well at a lacklustre Leicester, why Leeds had too much for Tottenham, Eberechi Eze's adjusted role, why Sheffield United can still be targetted, how Everton were tactically superior to West Ham and there's a debate on if Mikel Arteta's Arsenal reign is coming to an end...
