Not for the first time in recent memory a big Liverpool victory against Manchester United meant it was an FPL Gameweek that none of us will forget and many Wildcarders were left flabbergasted with their returns... and that includes James.
Suj & James review a weekend dominated by home teams and what is next for their FPL teams. Is James full of regret or does he feel unlucky? And Suj is still not sure what direction he will head in having not Wildcarded this week. Could Wildcard now or in GW28 be a solution to navigate what's to come?
Plus insight into all the games, including tactical insight into Liverpool's 7-0 win, the GW27 doublers on our mind with focus on why Brighton are so difficult to overlook, if Erling Haaland is expendable, why on this occasion Tottenham were a little unfortunate but were outsmarted by Julien Lopetegui's switch of system in the 2nd half, Arsenal won late on again and Chelsea finally picked up a much needed 3 points...

On the first of two Clash of the Correspondents this week focusing on the 4 teams who Double in GW27, James is joined by Southampton fan Matt Samuel and Brentford fan Tom Medd to discuss all the latest at their clubs and the FPL assets for the Double.
There's discussion on if Ivan Toney is likely to be the most captained player in the week ahead with the trip to Southampton proceeded by a visit to Everton. But the in demand forward is at risk of a ban, be it via yellow cards or the alleged gambling breaches that he is accused of.
Who's the best Brentford defensive asset to invest in?
Is David Raya an obvious buy for those who have a Brentford spot open in their squad and invested in Robert Sanchez?
Are Southampton assets being overlooked? Or is it still James Ward-Prowse or no one?
Plus, reflection on Nathan Jones time in charge of Saints and why Director of Football Rasmus Ankersen remains under pressure and he was previously very much a part of the success story at Brentford. And that's not the only link between the two clubs as conversation also covers the clubs' B Team structures...

Suj & James discuss all the permutations for strategy following a set of shocking result in The FA Cup as Leicester, Southampton and Tottenham all lost to lower league opposition. Is Wildcarding NOW the obvious solution for FPL managers who have landed badly for Double 27, Blank 28 and Double 29?
James discusses permutations for later in the season for those who want to take advantage of Doubles in 34 and 37 and several different options are discussed with some certainly favoured over others. Can those who do choose to Wildcard now keep up with those who Wildcard later in the season?
There's coverage of all the teams with a summary of who to target immediately, who to come back to, fixture swings and so much more including a reminder of the consciousness of GW35...
Plus there's a conclusion of GW25 following wins for Arsenal and Liverpool last night.
Tomorrow on Planet FPL: NOT The GW26 Deadline Stream Live at 530pm GMT on the Planet FPL YouTube channel with a Podcast of the stream released later in the evening.

There's discussion on City's tactics, why what the opponent may do is important to consider, when rotation is likely to hit hardest and become less predictable and what the impact is for Fantasy managers, not just for now, but for later in the season...

Suj & James review all the weekend 25 football and it was a weekend that featured some very low expected goals numbers and so far it's only the Liverpool defenders that have paid back the big pre weekend gamble.
West Ham were an exception to the low xG numbers, putting four on the board against Forest, while there were wins for Arsenal and City in the title race and Tottenham won the big London Derby against a poor Chelsea, for whom the pressure on Graham Potter is intensifying.
There's also coverage of the 4 weekend blankers who will be attracting interest and James discusses why he may well Wildcard THIS WEEK...

On James' live stream this morning FPL managers are clearly keen to invest in Liverpool, when's the points hit worth it and when's not. Plus, there's lots of coverage of planning ahead in planning with double gameweeks to come in 27 and 29 and a blank gameweek in 28. A recommendation is to consider alternative chip strategies and for James that may mean a Wildcard as early as Gameweek 26 should Fulham beat Leeds in the FA Cup on Tuesday...

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Liverpool fan Dan Lord and Wolves fan Bradley Parker to discuss all the latest at their clubs ahead of the clubs 4th meeting already in 2023 and preview the all important FPL Double Gameweek 25.
Liverpool appeared to be recovering, but back to back 2-0 wins was followed by the mauling by Real Madrid on Tuesday night. This is now clearly more than just a blip. Can The Reds still finish in the Top 4 and why are there so many inconsistencies in their results and performances?
Wolves have started very well under Julen Lopetegui, picking up 13 points from his first 7 games in charge, but there was a setback against Bournemouth on Saturday. Is it right to assume now that under their experienced new manager Wolves will be safe from the drop?
And many FPL managers are looking to steam into Liverpool assets; who's the best 3 to get? And there's an explanation of why what looks like a short-term investment could be something that lasts 2 months.
And is investment in Wolves assets worth it? Is it better to look at defensive or offensive assets or should they just be avoided?
