Did you know that burnout can affect introverts more than it can affect extroverts? There is a such thing as introvert burnout. And if you are an introvert, it is important that you are aware of how you best thrive in working with others, and how your energy can be managed to support your overall success.
This episode puts introvert burnout on the table and showcases the symptoms to look out for if you are an introvert. Although many of those symptoms are similar to burnout, it's important to recognize that those symptoms have a source of the lack of social bandwidth for an introvert.
In this episode we also lay out how those symptoms can show up in the event, space, as you're planning event, and as you are on-site for events. And then finally, this episode is jampacked with mini helpful tips on how to manage your burnout if you are an introverted event planner.
In the end, it's important that if you are an introvert that you are that you know that you can show up authentically and be exactly what you are—making sure that you manage your energy in all different facets and that you put rules, plans, and boundaries in place to be able to help you to thrive.

If you want to have an amazing year, then you have to have a big vision for what is going to drive your success. This episode explores the big questions that you should ask yourselves in order for you to be able to have that perfect vision for your new year.
An area that can help you put your vision together easily is reflection. Reflection is the pathway to progress and understanding and reflecting on last year's success can help you to develop this year's vision.
This means you must look back in order for you to look ahead. Then you will be able to define your vision for the next year. The challenge is that if you continue to keep things status quo then you're not growing, you're not taking risk and you are staying stagnant. And the whole goal of creating a vision and having defined actions in place to meet your goals is for you to push yourself forward, always be learning, always be growing, always be expanding.
I hope that this podcast helps you to develop your vision quickly and start to think of the goals that are going to be creating that pathway for your success in the new year.

When it comes to navigating stress and being overwhelmed, it's important to get our hands up, stress down, and get the support that we need. It's ironic that if we have challenges in our health, we will call the doctor, and if we need our car fixed, we will call the maintenance technician. However, when it comes to our mental health, we can allow it to faster and sit without raising our hand or getting any kind of support.
This episode discusses the importance of getting the support that you need through your organization, through your leaders, through a coach, or through accountability partners. It also talks through some of the reasons why vulnerability is a superpower, and that it's not a weakness, and it can be used as a pathway to changing your environment, changing your situation. It can also be used for being creative about solutions that are going to be able to support you.
If you are experiencing stress and overwhelm, this episode will encourage you to raise your hand, seek support, work with someone to help you to make your situation better. And if you are someone that is a witness to others, that may be experiencing some challenges, help them to help themselves. Because the event industry needs more awareness and more support if we want to see long lasting change.

Systems, process, and people are three pillars that we want to look through when doing problem-solving for our events, and for our businesses. In this episode, Naomi shares how you can filter problems that are brought to you through this filter to avoid drama and to have ease when solving problems.
When unpacking systems, Naomi speaks about how systems are the framework for which your work is done. It is the interconnected way in which all things are connected for areas of the business or events. When challenges do occur, ensuring that all systems are operating correctly can be helpful as a first check.
Next Naomi discusses processes and how ensuring that there are standard operating procedures in place so that there isn't a question on process is important. Also, the importance of understanding when challenges happen, that training or alignment may need to be leveraged.
Finally, people can make mistakes. And they can make mistakes more often than we would like. Naomi gives some ways of approaching situations when people are the problem to navigate.
