In this episode Chris talks about the possible reasons behind a rate rise. We've been hearing it in the media and some of you may have noticed that your bank has already moved to increase interest rates.
Hopefully this will help you to understand what is possibly going to affect you and then we will continue this discussion next week when we talk about what we can do to prepare.
Any questions or concerns please email us at [email protected]
It seems that more and more people are having overdrafts attached to their everyday bank account so that they do not have to "suffer the inconvenience of overdrawing their account or paying dishonour fees" as one bank promotion put it!!
I think it is more helpful to let people see the results of their overspending instead of giving them a facility that teaches them to overspend!!
A bit of a soapbox rant today, listeners - let me know your thoughts???

Have a wonderful week!
One of the things I have noticed among some clients and general conversation is that people are feeling there is no reason to set goals or think too far ahead as life changes so quickly. I am a little saddened by this but I was out having coffee with friends this morning and was reminded of a principle that I developed quite a few years ago - take a listen to the podcast and hear about the "Hall Principle" - Hope it helps and if you have any questions or comments then please write to me at [email protected]
or leave a comment on my You tube channel - where you can see visually the recording of my podcast - here's the link.
Often with the start of a new year our thoughts naturally turn to New beginnings and we hear of many people making New Years Resolutions - usually those resolutions are surrounding weight loss/ health and fitness etc - unfortunately New year resolutions have a bad name because more often than not January starts out full of hope only to have seen us fail by the beginning of February.
So what I prefer to do is to set the standard for the New Year and I think it is a good idea to reflect on the last year and learn from it. Join me in the first podcast for the year where I look back at last year and see what we discovered were the two most important things to us and let's set the standard together for a great financial year!
