  • 007 – Dick Tracy
We knew basically nothing about Dick Tracy coming into this. Well, nothing except that he wears yellow and he’s a detective. So clean slate for this show! WE GOT REVIEWS! Davis Quinn: “This game...

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a game we all know from a comic series we all know exists. Ha, joke's on us because most of the people I know grew up on the cartoons.

    • Turtle origin story
    • Sean's tattoos that he totally had before starting the show
    • Changes between the comics and cartoon
    • Chris refuses to admit that the Michael Bay movies exist
    • Drifting into the land of future show previews
    • The game isn't great, but if you liked it before you probably still do

    • Batman the Video Game

Ah, Batman. What can you say about someone with such a storied past? Well, Chris and Sean go off on an over sized episode that tries to capture the magic of one of the better games on the NES.

      • New Joker back stories
      • Movie tie in games with actually good game play...
      • ... but characters that have nothing to do with the movie or Batman lore.
      • The nostalgia of the NES classic versus the forgotten fact that there's also a Genesis version.
      • Totally off topic ramblings.

        • You know you loved this game as a kid. And it wasn't just because Batman is awesome, it was actually a good game.

      • Snoopy Sports

Wow, this one is horrible. Not the episode, it's pretty sweet. But the game itself? It's pretty bad.

        Things Covered

        • The video we watched because we couldn't handle playing it for long.
        • The insane setting for the mini games
        • Chris definitely loves Peanuts
        • Video game physics
        • Balancing skills and how the NES doesn't really show them off well
        • What makes this game Snoopy anyway?

          • Yeah, it's a bad one.

        • Superman

Sean joins Chris and the show goes insane in the best way possible. The language gets more adult though so you might want to be careful about that. We try no to go overboard, but no promises.

          Things Covered

          • Making a good Superman game is hard
          • The really weird list of powers Superman has/had
          • The level of situational awareness of the citizens of Metropolis
          • General gameplay notes
          • Overall game quality notes
          • Unintented previews of future Superman games
          • Chris's flea market habbits
          • A glimpse into future plans
          • How we'd improve the game
          • Did we mention that making a good Superman game is hard?

          • Spy vs Spy

Spy vs Spy, and incorrectly Spy vs Spy 2 in this case, are looked at in this episode. Thankfully the sequel doesn't really change much beyond the setting so it's not a big deal. The game was planned and development started for an NES release over here, so it could have happened.

            Things Covered

            • Super brief history of Spy vs Spy Comic
            • Some characters you don't see in the game
            • Comparing the game to other things
              • Old school dungeon crawling RPGs
              • point and click adventures
              • Portal
              • Conclusion: It's not bad....?
