In this week's episode, we're learning the importance of creating theatre, classic texts and improvisation. Joining us in the studio is powerhouse Producer, Director and Actor, Natalie Bochenski, and Actor and Podcast Guru, Elizabeth Best, who speak quite frankly about Act React and its upcoming production of 'The Importance of Being Wasted'. So grab a drink, sit down and relax, and let's learn about the art of theatre-making.
Scene 18 unravels 'The Importance of Being Wasted', including how the script was constructed, its premise, responding to Oscar Wilde's infamous text and the importance of editing the show and rehearsing authentically. Elizabeth described the actor-audience expectations with the show, and Natalie tells us all about Act React's journey. We also gain some privy knowledge of what goes into their signature shows (The Movie, The Play series) and how their changing audience experiences. All aboard this train that deep dives into theatre-making (just don't forget your drinks... or handbag!).
