Eloisa James tries many new things in this book - the first person POV, the significant page time devoted to new friendships, and a lot of trauma in a fairly light book. We both struggled.

I wouldn't waste food in violence under any circumstances.

Minnie Harper is back and Meg and Laine talk a lot about family dynamics.

Goodness was this exactly what we needed.

This book is too perfect for something as trivial as making sense.
