We have all seen a pillbox. It is intended to help people remember what pills they are supposed to take and when. The only thing missing? A system to remind you to take them. The Medfolio Medication Reminder System is just that.
Julie Mason, pharmacist and creator of the reminder system, created the product because she saw so many people forgetting to take their medications and knew she needed to help. When it is time to take your medication, the proper compartment will illuminate and the box will chime. When combined with an online reporting system, caregivers can know exactly when patients have taken their pills.

InterviewPowered by Tech Podcast NetworkUnited Healthcare has teamed up with Konami, makers of Dance Dance Revolution, to bring an education version of the game to classrooms. We have talked many times before on the show about the health benefits of DDR, and it turns out people have been listening.
United will be running their multiplayer, school-based pilot program to schools that already have an established United Healthcare curriculum partnership. Of course, this program might have been better received 10 years ago when DDR was at the height of its popularity here in the States, but it is possible that a program like this could revitalize the falling DDR sales.

InterviewPowered by Tech Podcast NetworkHAPIfork was designed by French entrepreneur and inventor Jacques Lepine whose idea was based on research which shows that by eating slower, people can improve the way they feel, improve their digestion and lose weight. HAPIfork aims to modify eating behavior by slowing down how fast people eat and being more present with when and how long it takes to eat, leading to an overall healthier state of being and living.
Unlike other health related tools, the HAPIfork is inconspicuous and appropriate for out of home use. The Bluetooth enabled smart fork also collects information for future analysis or monitoring in clinical settings. All data is transmitted to a "personalized online dashboard" when the HAPIfork is connected to the users computer or mobile device making it easy to monitor eating habits and health improvement at home or on the road.
